  • Chris Roberts

With all the doom and gloom in other threads, I thought it would be nice to start a thread that was positive. How about those alley-oops that Roberts had tonight!!!

Those two in the 2nd half were just downright silly. I'm sure he'll make it three-straight games on Sportscenter.

Chris "the human highlight reel" Roberts' alley-oop from SM just came in at #8 on sportscenter's top plays.

It was the second of the 2nd half alley-oops. I kind of liked the first one more.

Anything that reminds those talking heads out east that Peoria, IL did not fold its basketball team after the sweet sixteen run is excellent. If this tourney did nothing else, we witnessed on of the best shots in Bradley's history, and received some national publicity due to Robert's athleticism.

Anyone who makes it on ESPN's top 10 plays of the day 3 games in a row should be a lock for the Globetrotters. I'm not sure how much they pay but if he doesn't feel like adjusting to a foreign nation, then he would be awesome for the trotters. Personally, I think both of his slams in the 2nd half should of been in the top 10.

I think that there should be a dunk competition for Mr Roberts sometime in the near future

???It??™s awful hard,??™??™ said Illini freshman guard D.J. Richardson, the former Central High School guard who played prep school ball a few miles from here and fought back tears outside the locker room. ???It??™s a hometown thing. It??™s bragging rights.??™

If anyone can find a video of Chris' dunk in the second half, where the pass was high, and I though he wouldn't reach it, but then he soared about 2+ feet above the rim to grab it and dunk it, post a link to it.

That was amazing. CR's head was at the level of the rim.

There was also a play that CR made on defense that I believe was a block where his cheek appeared to hit the rim. CR was on fire last night, and I'm very excited to see his senior season.

CR is the man, and I am happy we'll have him back next season. Looking forward to having a healthy AW and CR in the line-up next year. I bet those two should compete to be our leading scorers next year.

CR's play in this postseason has been a very bright spot. Very excited to see what he can do next year!

WMBD has a video recap of the game. Chris' highlight dunk is at 52 seconds into the video. If you stop it there, it looks like his eyes are at the rim level, and almost all of his arms are above the rim.

WEEK also has a story with a link to video, but the link is bad and takes you to the wrong video. Maybe they will figure it out and correct it later-
