I will gladly accept anything over my expectations of 8,300!
???People say, ???Forget last year', but I want our guys to remember that one, because that will not happen again. We will be much better.??? Geno Ford, 9/22/12

Be prepared to "gladly accept" over that number. Not sure but I would guess there are quite a few last minute fans both buying at ticket offices, on-line and quite a few more walkups at the gate.
MY goal was 10k......while I don't think we will get there (not giving up hope) lets see if we are closer to 8300 or 10,000....hope I win.
The ONLY bummer is the rain.....but the snow is gone and its not going to be cold so NO EXCUSES.....

I was at a networking event this morning and there were no less than 15 people who said they were planning on attending but hadn't purchased tickets yet. It would be great to crack the 10,000 mark!!
Yes he had 5 inches on the ground Sunday morning and all was melted by Sunday evening.
Welcome to Peoria and our weather!
Bradley 72 - Illini 68 Final
???It??™s awful hard,??™??™ said Illini freshman guard D.J. Richardson, the former Central High School guard who played prep school ball a few miles from here and fought back tears outside the locker room. ???It??™s a hometown thing. It??™s bragging rights.??™
Did someone say snow?? It was 78 degrees here Sunday.
Way down here in Tulsa, Oklahoma, we had 6-10 inches (varied across the city) on the ground late Saturday and every last little bit of it was gone by Sunday evening. We were back in the 70s yesterday with our more typical springtime severe weather last night.
But no rain or snow worries tonight with the satellite dish, and so I'll be watching the Braves win the title uninterrupted.
Glad to see such fan interest for the game tonight. Does anyone want to venture a guess as to what the reason may be for a much bigger crowd? I would love to hear you say that it is because Old Dominion is in town, but I would find that a little hard to believe. I would think only hardcore college basketball fans know anything about us. My guess is that you had time to spread the word about it being a championship game.
7000 fans come snow, sleet, rain, hail, NIT, CTI, CBI or EiEiO.....
another 2000 good weather, valley season only type fans....
another 1500 walkup nothing else going on types.....
another 750 big name big game only type....
another 250 "I got freebies" type.....
DOG? Where did you get the 8,000 number? Seems as though a lot of good seats available for 8,000 sold.
Hope you are right. 10,000 would be great. Come on Braves fans, get out the umbrella, open those wallets, let the moths out, buy tix, and come to watch a great Basketball game.

First- note that Bradley's average home crowd is about 10,000 fans, so a crowd of 8,000 or 9,000 is still small by the usual standards.
These postseason tournament games are not part of the season ticket package, so every fan has to buy tickets anew for these tournament games.
The difference with tonight's game is--
-It is for a championship
-ODU is a good team
-More time between games for fans rearrange their plans and to get tickets
-More time for BU to promote the game- i.e. the "Red-Out" and the 2 for 1 ticket deal.
-Tuesday is a better night to draw crowds than Mondays or Wednesdays.
-some fans who took spring break with their kids are back in town now.

From the PJS.....
As the ticket office closed Monday, about 8,000 tickets had been sold.
