  • BCS on trial for antitrust violations?

While this appears to only affect college football, the ripple effects may be felt throughout college sports. This will be interesting to follow...

Everyone from President Barack Obama on down to fans has criticized how college football determines its top team. Now senators are getting off the sidelines to examine antitrust issues involving the Bowl Champion Series.

    Great Post BB!

Great post BB - I've long wondered when somebody was going to start doing something about how the BCS schools pull the puppet strings on the NCAA! The NCAA and other so called governing bodies need to starting cleaning up their collective houses soon or Congress will (all part of the socialist plan) and this action needs to start spilling over into sports other than football - most obviously - basketball and the lesser sports! If they don't, somebody is going to legislate that every $ generated by these bowls, tourneys and series from whatever sport at whatever level be pooled and divided equally by participation amongst all member schools. Wow, if that happened there might even be football on the hilltop again - and just think what would happen if Bradley Basketball got the same cut as Duke!
