Any body watch him last night? I have never seen him play before. I know he is expected to be the one to save the U Of I basketball program. I just wondered what other people thought. My first impression was very bad. He really seemed to have an attitude problem. No hustle, always had his head down, plain gave up. When he committed his freshman year to Illinois he said he wasn't Eric Gordon. He seems like he would be a prime candidate for that maneuver. He seems like he has a really big head from all the press clippings. I know one game doesn't make a career, but I wondered if anyone else had that feeling watching him.

My first impression was very bad. He really seemed to have an attitude problem. No hustle, always had his head down, plain gave up...
A lot of other people noticed that, too.
We have been having this discussion in another thread--

yeah I was just at the ship. I noticed his head down....always the last one down the floor...seems like at the end he tried to do a little too much and he also was very frustrated from the beginning. He is though 16 going on 17? or already 17? I am sure he will be even better next year and Weber will have him going in 2 years like previously stated.

Jereme Richmond mentions the possibility of going to prep school like DJ Richardson...
"Richmond plans on returning to Waukegan as a senior. That could change if
academic concerns threaten his college eligibility and turn him to prep school.
He's taken notice that fellow UI recruit D.J. Richardson seems to have benefited
from a year of prep school and high-level basketball.
..Situations may arise where I may have to take a different path. But as of
now, I'll be back at Waukegan."
this article also notes the sleazy recruiting going on by PUBLIC schools in Chicago...
"...Richmond being forced to change his cell phone number "every three months" to avoid Chicago's basketball leeches.
..The agendas are many, the motives sleazy. Close friend Crandall Head,
another UI recruit, has witnessed the same. Head was looking to transfer out
of Rich South after his freshman season. One coach in the Chicago Public
League promised he would play on ESPN last season ??“ if he transferred to
their school.
"A lot of people have offered me things. Nice things. I don't want that. Gifts,
rides. That's why I change my number," Richmond says. "It's never been any
agents or colleges offering me anything. Guys in Chicago will say, 'I can do
this for you. I can get you here.' Those are the kind of people that don't
have a place in my life.
"People who try to get in your life early, most times, are in it for the wrong
reasons. You have to weed those people out."

It does appear as if Jereme Richmond and his teammates were only trying to break up a fight in which some bullies tried to confront a couple of the Waukegan cheerleaders..
Suburbs Aurora Beacon-News Lake County News Sun Northbrook Star Elgin Courier-News Naperville Sun The Doings – Oak Brook Daily Southtown Post-Tribune Oak Leaves Arlington Heights Post…
Now this is a real basketball brawl...and it happened at a school that already has airport-like metal detectors in place for all who enter!!

For those interested- there were a few posts in this thread that necessitated removal because they violated board rules.
The topic of this discussion is Jereme Richmond. We won't allow some posters to try to turn this and every thread into a one that attacks Bradley and Bradley players. If that is the intent, there are plenty of threads that focus on that.
We are sorry if anyone's post was deleted, but please keep discussions focused on the topic.

Your definition of attacking is quite different from mine. Actually yesterday's revival of this thread, which has magically disappeared, was in my opinion an attack against Richmond. You have no problem in throwing out rumors or half truths on others not affiliated with BU.
I challenge you to show me where my post in any way attacked any Bradley player, present or past.
I think it is quite interest that you guys live in a world of do overs if someone challenges your accuracy.
I am done with you guys and have lost all personal respect for you!!!!
BTW as you know my history with Bradley hoops goes back a bit further than yours, and I could tell some very factually stories that would place BU in a very poor light.
I hope you 2 get to read this before it is deleted.

you are wrong, I revived this thread and my post with the twitter link is still up there - posted minutes after the info was first made available in the Chicago area...
..........and the post is as far from an attack as imaginable...
it states the fact about the suspension, that's all........
