Now the MADNESS has really begun! Double overtime on a three pointer with 3.5 secs left, tied at 65. Go Siena!

Great game. The game seamed lost for Siena several times. Including at the end of the first OT. Great win for the mid-majors.

Great win for Siena, and for the second year in a row!

So, we have Dayton, Memphis, Gonzaga, Xavier, Cleveland St, Siena and W. Kentucky as the non-BCS teams that are still alive. Not a bad showing considering how "awful" it is to have these type of teams in the tourney. Also honorable mentions go out to VCU, Butler and BYU for close losses, and especially to E. Tennessee St for giving #1 Pittsburgh one of the biggest scares in a #16 vs #1 matchup in the history of the NCAA Tournament!

So once again, if this type of performance by the mid-majors is so "bad", then I'd hate to see an all BCS tournament because the ratings would go right down the toilet, at least early on. Let's hope some of these teams can continue beyond the second round beyond the winner of Gonzaga/W. Kentucky. THAT'S what gives flavor to the tournament, still one of the greatest sporting events in the world!

How about a shout out to our very own, Mo Valley team, N. Iowa, who was within 2 of Purdue with 17 sec. left.

I really love that 2 mid majors took out 2 BIG ten teams! And N. IA. took a 3rd. to the final buzzer. I love sticking it to those arrogant BIG 10 fans who think their teams are way to good for Mo. Valley "types"!

You're right! I did forget about N. Iowa. They had a great comeback but just fell a bit short. They will be even tougher to beat next year!

It's a shame that there is a thread on Valleytalk.net that was doing nothing but bashing N. Iowa for their "lack" of fundamentals against Purdue. And some of this even after that aforementioned comeback. I think some Valley "fans" need to act like they've been there instead of trashing a team for taking perhaps the strongest team out of the Big Ten to the final seconds!

The Valley will be back next year, and let's hope the fans have a little more class than what I was reading over there.

The Siena/Ohio game was the best game to date followed by the Wisky/FL St. game. Go figure they were both played around the same time and thank goodness for CBS's fantastic video feeds.
