  • 2 ejections in NCAA tourney today

-The first one was Clemson's Oglesby intentionally pile driving his elbow into a Michigan players head. He was called for the intentional foul but was then ejected upon further review of the play. Oglesby is Clemson's 3rd to 4th scoring option and Clemson then went onto lose by 3 points. Video below...

-The 2nd is already discussed in another thread. One of the Morgan State players flips OKL's Blake Griffin over by just his arm and nearly lands on his head. With the game in hand and this being the tourney, Blake just calmly gets up and walks away. About 80% of other players probably would of started throwing it down at that point. Could of had a very serious injury but escaped with just a couple bumps. Video is below...

Morgan State's Ameer Ali is ejected for an arm drag takedown on Blake Griffin. March 19, 2009.

In an MVC game wouldn't that "arm bar" move been a foul of Grffin?

I'm not sayin" ya no, I'm just sayin'.

Yep Double D, yet another glaring difference between MVC refs (yep I said M...V...C refs) and others.

        In an unprecedented action...

the NCAA has singled out and specifically reprimanded the player who tossed Griffin...Ameer Ali of Morgan State.

it took 5 and a half months for the NCAA to actually do this, but at least it is lip service to some sort of discipline!

Wonder if it has anything to do with Blake being the #1 pick in the draft and video of the incident is everywhere on the net lol.
