  • Memo to Bradleybraves.com / Jump TV

    Dear: Bradleybarves.com

Please consider investing in the technology that the NCAA is using (silverlite or something like that) for broadcasting the NCAA games via the internet. The new hi quality is spectacular. The quality is 10x better than the jump tv.

    Sincerely

    Paying customer

Thinking the same thing. Whatever CBS Sports is using is wonderful. Head and shoulders above what Bradley is doing. Would love to watch BU this way.

Yes, this is great quality. It's Microsoft Silverlight, MLB.tv also uses it.

Something like that is MASSIVELY expensive.

The quality was outstanding but I had serious buffer issues for a couple hours in the evening when most people were likely getting home from work. That likely has to do with bandwidth usage but the quality was great other than that.

I had to step the quality down to low a few times but all in all it wasn't bad at all.

There were even a few times where I had two games on my computer (one in Firefox and one in Internet Explorer) and would jump between them with very little issue while watching a third game on TV.

The Valley should do something like the Horizon has done with the Horizon League Network. It's fantastic. I think they use Silverlight as well. AND IT'S FREE!

It may be too expensive for one school to pull off, but maybe an entire conference could get it done. Well worth looking into.

And I have to get one last jab in. PLEASE insert only the right sized photos on bubraves.com. Almost every image is a distorted mess. You paid for a nice site, now learn how to use it!

I've said both of these things before. But I should learn that noone's listening.

...and don't get me started on the quality of IBA.

Definitely agree with the bolded part.

My Goodness....if the Horizon League can do it, I gotta think the MVC would be able to do this too!

You would hope that the other schools would be willing to pony up their share. As much as I want better video quality I'd rather have the Valley pony up for better refs first. BTW...Missouri State has a great feed!

FYI, the Horizon league sent out an e-mail (since I signed up for a free account) before their conference tourney saying that their broadcasts were going pay-per-view and most likeyl next year would be a pay service. They mentioned they believed they now have a high enough quality product worth paying for...

Imagine that, waiting to wait until your service is good enough to charge.

                        I want a rebate!
