These tournaments are critical for the following season as long as we stay healthy and out of trouble. The beginning of next season is so very critical. I hope our staff is stressing the importance for our guys to be ready from day one. That means keeping to the the tasks and workout schedule that the coaching staff is probably putting together right now. We have a pretty hard demanding schedule coming out of the blocks so there is no room for anyone to slack off during the off season.

If we want to make it to the dance our margin for error is significantly smaller then the BCS schools, so when we have the chance to shine we need to do it. The Las Vegas Tournament gives us that opportunity and there will be no one to blame but ourselves if we are not at least considered for an at large birth next year.

      Streaming Video

Oakland fan here - just wondering if any of you know much about the live game video streaming service that Bradley offers? Our league has something similar and it is really, really terrible so I'm trying to get an idea if it is worth the 4.95 to see some live game action. Do they have play-by-play? How is the quality, sound, etc?

I've paid for an annual subscrption and plan to again. The quality has been spotty, at best, this year but has been pretty good the last few games. I think $4.95 is worth it.

Just pointing out the realistic view that a team still playing in the NIT/CBI/CIT did not have a higher rated postseason than a NCAA one and done team. Lets take all the joy and experience we can get out of the CIT and win it all!
Well, just look at how many fans actually show up for the games compared to when we played Providence in the NIT...there's a big difference at least in how the general audience feels about these post-season tournaments...

I still believe if we win 2 more, we should have a big crowd for the championship game because hey, a bandwagon fan loves their championship games...

Either way you put it, it will never mean as much as the NCAA's to the public, however, it IS in fact good for the players to continue playing and it means more to me and some others to get a few more chances to see Theron Wilson, which I may not get to see "live" if we were in an NCAA tournament game...so there is some upside in that...Also, would you rather be bounced in the 1st round of the NIT or get a chance to play 4 games in the CIT, because as far as I am concerned, most of the teams in the CIT could handle teams in the NIT just fine.

It won't matter quite as much what tournament we are in, as long as we are the ones celebrating at the end of the year and raising the banner into the rafters at Carver.

It's worth the $4.95, but they do have some quality issues. Especially, since there is no TV and the video feed won't be available anywhere else.

I don't think there will be any play-by-play, but I think it will be broadcast by the Oakland radio station, or you can hear it on the Bradley radio station--

I recall the Providence NIT game was marketed differently. There was a T-shirt giveaway, and the opponent was a Big East "name" opponent.
It drew 8,304 attendance. I amnot sure such a marketing approach would work the same for this CIT game against Oakland.

Bradley senior guard J.J. Tauai turned in the best game of his career with 17 points and 17 rebounds and his backcourt mates Daniel Ruffin (seven) and Will Franklin (six) combined for 13 points in overtime, leading the Braves (22-12) to a 90-78 overtime victory against visiting Providence (18-13) in the first round of the MasterCard National Invitational Tournament Wednesday night at Carver Arena.? The Braves advance to a Saturday morning (11:05) second-round game at Mississippi State (19-13), a game that will be televised nationally on ESPN.

To me, they looked like an inferior team from an inferior conference playing a low-major level of ball. If not for our "out of the ordinary" outside shooting we would have lost. We looked flat, rusty, out-of-sync, and played terrible defense with questionable lineups at times.

I still hold to my statement that we will outclass Oakland as well and SHOULD win easily at home. I think now that we've knocked the rust off we will win by 20+! Time will tell if I'm right..... or if I have an over-inflated opinion of our boys.
They did not win by 10 but YOU called the Win my friend and most of all you held your ground when so meny thought you lost it. Great Job I new you was half right all along
There is no team in the the MVC that can match up to us the whole game, if our bigs come to play! BU will win the the MVC this year!
