I suspect we'll hear a lot of spin on this issue, but facts are facts, and something is working very well.
I personally give a huge amount of credit to Ken Kavanagh and Jim Les.

personally, i would a huge amount of credit to tom hammerton and dave snell.(nice east coast trip) but what do i know.
Tom does a great job, as do all the fine people in the Development and the Advancement departments (they are listed in the above link), but I don't think he is closely involved in fund raising by the Athletic Department.
Dave Snell's position is the Director of Development for the College of Education and Health Sciences.
Several years ago, Dave spent a short time as Director of Development for the Athletic Department, but for the last several years, I don't believe his duties have involved fundraising for the Athletic Department.
There are several people who should get the credit for such fantastic success in the Bradley Athletic Department. First is Ken Kavanagh. Though Ken has a lot of things to do, and fundraising isn't a big part of his job, his excellent leadership and foresight have opened up many new way to advance Bradley athletics. Under his leadership they have developed the Braves Scholarship Society, and several new support groups for volleyball (The Bradley Block), softball (The Diamond Club), baseball (The Dugout Club), soccer (Friends of Bradley Soccer) women's basketball (The Sixth Brave Club), and other sports. These groups and other programs have added huge amounts of new revenues and fan support to the department. And of course the Chief's Club continues to be a leader in fundraising and support for the Athletic Department, as do the great guys in the Alumni B-Club..
The current Director of Athletic Development is Rick Gaa, and Rick has also played a huge part in many of the above new programs, especially the Braves Scholarship Society, and the increased revenues. Not a lot of people know Rick, but nobody works harder.

Sorry I don't have time to list all the great people in the Athletic Department who have been part of the recent success, but here is a list of some of these great hard working people. Bradley is indeed fortunate to have Ken and the great staff at Bradley:
i told ya i don't know anything.(i am just student who pays tuition) i thought snell and hammerton had something to do with fundraising but once again i am wrong.in fact i thought gaa and snell worked under hammerton. should have know it was coach les and kk who have done the work.congrtas to kk and coach les on a great job.they wear many hats and wear them all well.
There's nothing to spin. Facts are facts. Now I, and every Bradley fan should expect some top notch facilities for students AND athletes to come out of this great year, instead of the excuses and line of BS we've been hearing for 20+ years. I'm tired of being put to shame by local high school facilities.

gonna take time. the fieldhouse needs to go down, imo.
The proof will be in the pudding or in this case in the facilities. We should have the type of "eye candy" Coach Les always talks about and a big upgrade for the students as well.

look how good coach les recruits with par to sub-par facilites. can you imagine the team we will have with a facility upgrade.

Exactly! We know for sure Courtney Lee would have been a Brave, if not for facilities.

to me not having tom hammerston and dave snell involved in raising money for the athletic department seems like mis-used talent. snell is the voice of bradley basketball. he knows bu athletics. what booster couldn't see dave's passion for bu? tom hammerton also has a big sports background locally, his dad was a long time basketball coach at richwoods.tom is a very good golfer who also would seem like a natural for raising money for the athletic dept.
either way, looks like bu is doing good, which is great.
