  • Postgame: BU 81 AP 74

I was unable to attend the game. Caught most of the 2nd half on the radio. Sounds like the margin could have been a lot bigger if we could have hit the bunnies. Kind of game you expect after a week and half off....kind of rusty.
Interesting to hear those who saw the game and their thoughts. Sounds like the refs were better than we are used to.

Good win and #19 on the year! Will be at the next game cheering them on!

    GO BU!!!!
Some see a hopeless end, while others see an endless hope.

As for the other games in the valley.

    NIT:
Creighton beat Bowling Green by 2 after trailing til about the 5 minute mark of the second half.
Illinois State just fouled with 10 seconds left and KSU is shooting free throws to tie the game.

    CBI:
Wichita State blew Buffalo out of the water

    CIT:
    Evansville got smoked by Belmont
Drake is just getting under way

Well, at least Evansville got back to the post season this year. Nice job by Marty Simmons. However, they are one of the few teams that will be taking a big step back next year as much of their team was dominated by seniors. He will have his work cut out for him next year!

        wow.....

Kansas State missed the second free throw. Odiakosa rebounded and got fouled...went to the line....missed the front end of a one and one...got his own rebound...got fouled again...hit the front end of the one and one...missed the second, and Kansas State went down to the other side missed a lay up and then tipped it back in.....Overtime

A very sloppy game, but would be expected after the long layoff. We get blasted by anyone halfway decent..couldn't grab a board in 2nd half, missed at least a dozen free throws and careless turnovers......better clean it up if we want to win this thing. Who's next?

All things considered I thought the crowd was pretty good. If I were to guess I would say somewhere around 5K.

That's pretty good. It should go up for game two.

                    ISU loses.

They put up what looks like was a good fight, though. Really close in OT. Except O's abysmal shooting... (good amount of points, but a LOT of shots...)

I guess in the 4000 range...about 50-60 students! The FTs were bad but we hit 11 3's! Where has that been.....EM had a good game and SS twisted his knee...overall a good game to watch! We sure could use some more fans Monday night though!

The most likely candidate seem to be Oakland University or the winner of Portland State/Pacific(according to Dave/Chuck). I can still see the Oakland insignia from the games we won in Auburn Hills 3 years ago. If Pacific would win their game and they were sent to Peoria it would be Brandon Hawkins (albeit as a deep reserve) returning to his fathers college home.
