  • BU #1 seed in CIT - every game's a home game

No excuse not to win this thing. There isn't a team on there that's better than the teams in the MVC that we've beaten at home this year. Let's win a title!

Also I would expect that DC will show up for each one since they are home games. We will now have played in all inaugural post season tournaments and hopefully keep our streak alive of making it to the finals.

My only fear is that we will have dismal attendance....

When was the last time that BU had dismal attendance? I have faith that our fans will show up. I predict around 8K faithful will show up and support this team who has played their hearts off. I believe most of us are proud of this team and the showing will support this. Also, is there anything else happening in Peoria on Wednesday?

We only had 5,100 for Cincinnati this time last year. I'd be pleased with anything more than that against Austin Peay!
???People say, ???Forget last year', but I want our guys to remember that one, because that will not happen again. We will be much better.??? Geno Ford, 9/22/12

Cool! Just four home wins to a championship! Not "the" championship, but a championship which would still be nice.

Glad to see the attendence may be higher than expected. We are lucky to have such great fans who come out and support the team no matter how well they play!

Yes 8,000 might be a bit high of an estimate, but 5 to 6,000 would still be very good!

Attendance for the Cincinnati game 3/19/08 was 5,114-

But for the Ohio game 3/24/08, it was much better, 6,425-

And for the Tulsa game 4/2/08, it was 9,014-

                  Let's go for the 9,000+ !

ODU is about the only team I see as a threat. I've seen them play and they are a big, physical, and athletic team.

                      It's nice not to travel.

Our guys should be well rested and ready to play tomorrow with some energy. It's been just basketball on their minds (since it's Bradley Spring Break week)!

What I fear attendance-wise is the lack of 'names' in this tournament may hurt us. Tulsa was a 'name' that most BU fans are quite familiar with. Unless you remember the classic war with Odell Hodge back in '94, I don't think too many people will think that Old Dominion is a 'name' the way that Tulsa is to us. Hope I am wrong, and I hope we pack the place and make a run to a title!

We lose about 400 student fans because they are on break, most of the corp. seats never get picked up which hurts the most as far as attendance goes, it would be nice to get at least 6 to 7000 fans for the 1st game as there really is nothing else happening in Peoria wed. night.

I recall watching the Manhattan Jaspers dismantle the porous Maryland defense for an 87-84 win.
The official attendance was announced as 4,761, but there may have been fewer actually there. After the jacka$$ Gary Williams made of himself over his team not getting an NCAA bid, and his tirade about weaklings like Bradley, Wichita State, and George Mason getting in, it was especially nice to watch them go down in flames. They were the #1 seed in the NIT, and were guaranteed all home games until NY.
