Figured it was time to start an official postgame thread.

Good win for BU. Would've liked to pull away more in the second half so it wasn't so interesting down the stretch, but a win is a win.

Add: What's the deal with the board neglecting all caps in thread titles? Maybe it's just me.

I think this was our best overall game this year. Nice game plan by the staff.


Now for some voodoo to aim at UNI....

UNI, it's pretty tough to beat a team in any sport 3 times in one year.

Good game all around! Especially EM, CR, TW and our bigs! I'm not sure what the break down was of minutes used but it seemed that we should have plenty in the tank for tomorrow!

I was not a fan on the way yhe refs called the game but they were consistant at least. I'm sure the SIU fans will not see it that way but they did start collecting fouls once they went inside.

I thought we really exposed their freshman guards. They really got out and harrassed us bigtime in the first 10 minutes but we held our poise and began to get to the rim and in the lane. We really capitalized on their poor ball handling.

I was very surprised Lowery did not try to run any sort of issolation play for Dillard just to try to get him involved. EM did an incredible job on him all night long.

I thought our interior one on one defense with Boyle was not very good but he was working his rear off and singlehandedly kept the puppies in the game.

Theron stop shooting the ball 10 seconds into a shot clock up 12-14. Other then that and the absolutely horrible 5th foul call on Singh, I am very pleased with this win and can not wait to have a chance at UNI.

Excellent floor game also from SM.

Great game. Now let's guard UNI 3 point shooters and we will be playing on Sunday. Let's not get too excited about BU's defense because SUI is offensively challenged... UNI is not! Go guard them boys. Get up in the shooter's shirt and don't cheat off the shooter too much if at all. We do that and we win.

Enjoyed the game immensely...I thought that after the midway point of the first half, BU played a really solid game overall. They struggled offensively for periods during the second half, but Sam made enough free throws and they made enough stops on the defensive end to make it hold up.Let's beat UNI tomorrow...why not us?

Boy...one thing that was very clear while watching the game today...

Carlton Fay CANNOT guard Theron Wilson out on the floor.

I can't believe SIU didn't try something, anything different to try and match up against Theron.

Play a zone...put Booker on him...something.

Theron could get to the rim pretty much any time he wanted to with Fay on him...And when Fay would play off him, it was just...jab step, wide open 12 footer. Easy as pie. Fay had no chance against Theron today.

We really need to make our athleticism advantage pay off just as much tomorrow against UNI...

One more thing to add.... I also liked our spacing on the offensive sets today.

Great Game Got to BWW about a half hour early to make sure they had it or I could get back home. Huge cheesburger and fries and a beer. I'm not used to all that food in the middle of the afternoon. So when we had 3 points about 8 minutes into the game, I thought I was going loose it in not a sanitary way. We were bricking free throw after free throw and shot after shot. So when they put up the half time stats showing us shooting 50% for the half and up 9, I'm thinking we must have made almost all of our shots in the last 12 minutes!

And then we start out hot in the second half, we put a full game together except for the first 8 minutes I guess.

They showed Chris' block on replay at least 8 times. He can really get off the ground.

And Eddren, wow, just how good is he going to be.

TW, SM, DC, SS had great games and the subs all contributed.

I ate another cheesburger in the second half but made it home OK.

I think our coaching staff needs to be congratulated for a good game plan as we were able to spread SIU out and drive the ball on them, the players need to be commended for how tough they played today as SIU seemed to committ quite a few flagrant fouls on us, almost like they were trying to take T out of the game by injury, well we beat them at their own game as we were the toughest team today.
