MVC moving in on 8th place in RPI

The MVC has been in 10th place in conference RPI much of the season, but recently moved up to 9th place. Now the MVC has closed the gap between them and the 8th place conference, the Atlantic-10, and are close to climbing into 8th place. If the favored teams win in the MVC tournament, it will help the RPI.

According to Palm's ratings, the MVC is tied for 8th in Non-Conf games only and 9th in Overall games.

8th place can make a difference this year in the prospect for multiple bids should Creighton lose in the tourney. It didn't last year, but Creighton has somewhat better credentials than last year's ISU team.
