Ruffin
JJ
JC
Salley
Andrews
Some say Franklin in JC's spot, but I truly believe we need his punch off the bench. He may not start, but he certainly will be finishing games.
Undersized, undermanned teams has always been where Chuck Buescher has shined in the past, and I think will be where he really shows his value to the staff this year. He would get 20 wins out of teams that had no one over 6'2" on pure heart, fire, and desire. I look forward to seeing what the staff can do with this group. They certainly have their work cut out for them.Onward and Upward!

I may be WAY off here, but I see Will Franklin as a starter and a finisher.
My projected starting 5:
1 - Ruff
2 - WF
3 - JJ
4 - Salley
5 - Zach
Those out there that see Crouch getting a starting spot, I think he would be fighting for the 3 position and right now I don't see JJ losing that spot.

Now... how does RB fit in the picture the following season with DW and JF coming in and Ruffin having one more year?
Awww, never mind. We'll get there and cross that bridge when we come to it.
I am disappointed - was looking forward to seeing RB have a good year.

jc will be first off the bench.
I know nobody thinks JJ can score until he proves he can.
Well, I don't think JC can score until he proves he can shoot better than the 24% from the 3 like he did last year.

Originally posted by BUBraves06You're right but the difference is, we've seen Jermey score, whereas with JJ, outside of one game against Mizz St his freshman year, he hasn't.
JC has proven he can score.
Just like Zach Duke proved last year he was a stud of a pitcher for the Pirates. 8-2 last year with a 1.81 ERA - this year he is 7-9 with a 5.26 ERA.
JC didn't have just a bad Sophomore year. He started to slip midway through his Freshman year.
Stats for his first meeting against MVC teams:
28 minutes a game
9.89 points a game
Stats for the second meeting against MVC teams:
24.33 minutes a game
5.11 points a game (including the 13 he dropped on Wichita)
My point is... the scouting report is out on his shot. He needs to adapt, and since he has had to adapt and change his shot.. he has been shooting 24% from 3.
So UNTIL he adapts and gets his 'new' shot to begin dropping, I don't think he can score (especially like he did in the beginning).
Let's just leave JJ outta the discussion for now... I just have a hunch on him.
I have a pretty strong feeling about Wil Franklin.

We have no idea what Salley is gonna bring to the table.
