I actually posted very similar thoughts to KW in a post late last night before reading this, but I agree with KW 100% on everything here. I think it's very hard to argue against the logic that the staff is taking on this.

I decided to read a KW post since who knows when and I am 100% in agreement with his well thought out and constructed blog on the SS situation.

I completely agree and have been saying all along that we don't have to use all of our available scholarships for next season unless we get the one player the staff really wants. We already have four players in the 2013 graduating class and really won't need more guards until 2010 when Sammy and Andrew are seniors.

Right on the money, let"s start to build this program with more 4 year players , no sense in adding anymore recruits unless we get a 6-4 or taller shooter, who knows what might be available later, let"s hold out for someone special as we will only lose 3 more players next season. The future looks bright as long as we can keep our players healthy.

as I asked dogsrus last night after the game, I had told several in our group about the text i had received from a friend telling my about SS redshirt on friday. the other part was a rumor about a u of i bench player transferring and sitting out next year. since i didn't believe the SS part at first i ignored the 2nd, but now i wonder if that part of the text is also valid. anyone else hear if it is true?
