AT is only classified as a Freshman remember. We now really will have two 5's starting the year because if you think WE will be ready to play major minutes in the beginning of the season you have no idea what it takes for a 5 person to be ready for the pounding it takes in D-I basketball. That is why maybe we have not seen AT yet this year. Is it possible that he is just not ready to take the pounding necessary. DC had problems with the pounding and I've seen bigger guys then sticks get pummeled. PATIENCE everyone!
    Couldn't agree more.

First off, Prosser has said he wants to play the four. Let's predict that he plays there.

Second, how does this mean that Thompson is gone?!?! He is a freshman! Also, in my opinion, Singh is coming back next year to be a support person and hopefully not have to be a huge minute hog.

Third, I can't think of any better way to spend this scholarship this year. If we pick up two guards how are either of them going to play? We are way too deep with guards next year to pick up TWO more. Also, if you get a juco big man it doesn't fill our need. We don't need someone to step up in two years, we need him immediately. We also need someone to help develop the young guys, not be a project. And if you were thinking of possibly a freshman four or five man, you obviously have not done your recruiting homework. Look at Prosser's class after 2010! Prosser, Knezevic, Wilkins, and Harris. All 6'7 or taller!

If Sam Singh were still the player he was before, I would probably be mildly upset at this, but he has developed into a legitimate DI player who can come off the bench or give starter's minutes if needed. I all of a sudden love the fact that he is coming back. And he has improved every offseason - maybe he will get even better. Our young guys need him.

He's a smart player and knows his physical limits, hopefully he can mentor the other young post players we're bringing in. Definitely better that a Juco big man as they usually are not very good their first year.
I side with the Big Dude here. A JUCO big has been thrown around a lot as an option for one of our open scholies. I think this blows a JUCO big out of the water. Let's look at this is a recruit for a 'big' position - A guy with 5 years DI experience, or a JUCO with glorified HS experience? Some work (Zach Andrews), some don't (Rashad Austin). We know what we get with SS. I like it. It should NOT inhibit AT or Jordan Prosser. I don't think Les would do this if it would. I trust the staff on this, and really like how it got announced tonight. Awesome end to an awesome night!

Either way as a BU fan I would really like to know the truth to what has happened to Thompson. Maybe someone in the Peoria media can get a truthful answer to this
There is no mystery. Players get playing time based on whether they deserve it, or whether the coach thinks they can help the team. He just hasn't earned it yet.
Maybe if Bradley was playing in blowout games where he could get some garbage minutes, we'd see him, but the games recently have all been close.

I'm very happy with Sam Singh returning. Most years, we have an open scholarship anyway. So, it's not like he'd be taking a scholarship from a player we really want. Even if we get a shooting guard recruit, he's not likely to play many minutes with the returning guards + Andrew Warren healthy.

And Sam Singh is definitely a better alternative than a JUCO recruit. He brings experience to our frontcourt with uncertainty surrounding our younger post players for next season.

Thompson is only a freshman this year. And he'll be only a sophmore next year. Let's give him some time.

I cannot imagine they'd have worked to getting him an extra year...plus he's a GOOD team leader!!
The big men we have next year (Egolf, Thompson, Prosser, and Knezevic) will have a grand total of 3 starts and 240 minutes played in their careers.

Sam Singh himself has more than twice that amount of experience this season ALONE, and his career totals well over 1000 minutes and
101 games that he's already appeared in!!!
Good one T. JL is smart and he just proved it. SS will lead next year's team both on and off the court with his team first and leadership.

First of all we don"t win last nights game without Sam Singh as D. Collins was having a bad game, he proved that he can contribute when he gets more minutes on the floor, I like him staying for one more season as we need an experienced big more then a new j.c. player that may or may not fit in, A.T. has a lot of skills and just needs to get in the gym and work hard this summer so he can get his time on the floor next season.
                    Welcome back Sam .

By the way, I heard from an inside source we may see SS for years to come, There was a little loop hole...as a child Sam was bequeathed to the Civic Center.

Thus he is part of the building.

Sam comes with the building, deal with it NCAA.
Huh??? Me dumb, me don't understand...

                        Singh for President
4 more years!! 4 more years!!!

                        this is fantastic.
                        1) he'll help with recruiting based on his attitude and "player coach" leadership skill set
                        2) He'll take a TON of pressure of WE to perform. Will then won't need to be the starter if JL or trainers feel he's not ready.
                        3) Now JL has a "dependable" big man to go to. Sure he's not POB...but Les knows what he's gonna get out of SS and won't be hunting the JUCO market for another big man.

                        Starting line up next year:
                        EM, SM, AW, CR, SS
Gloria: Who's side are you on?
Jay: She's my daughter, you're my wife. Let's remember what's important, there's a football game on today

                            who's starting Sam or Edge??
or are we just gonna cite the other multiple threads for that arguement

is CR's shot good enough for the 3?
i know he can hit it, but i feel liek he's built like a 4 more than a 3 IMO

AW will be the starting 3! CR will be the first guy off the bench probably pushing AW to the 2 and depending on what we need or who is hot EM or SM will be playing the 1 at that time. CR is not built for the 4 but as a 2-3 player. He is only 6'5" and can handle the ball. TW is 6'5" but is stronger and cannot handle the ball and that is why he is an undersized 4. Next year we will have TB start at the 4 with JP and MK fighting it out for backup time and probably it will depend on match-ups.

CR started at the 3 last night. I hope for a lineup of SM, AW, CR, TB, WE
