  • Jordan Prosser and Eureka beat Seneca to move on to Sectional

If anyone is interested in watching Jordan Prosser and his Eureka Hornets teammates- they play tomorrow, Friday, 2/27, in the Minonk Regional final game at Fieldcrest High school against Seneca High School. The game time is 7:30 pm.

Fieldcrest High School is located on the east side of Minonk, at East 5th Street and Maple Avenue. Minonk is a very small town, so it's not hard to find.

Minonk is located about 40 miles northeast of Peoria, and about 30 miles north of Normal. It's just off Interstate 39 at exit 27.

If anyone makes it to the game, give us a report.

i'll call the upset here. playing in the corn belt and then playing these teams that have gaudy records but play in weaker conferences is a big advantage. seneca is hyped, but i have eureka here.

jp is going to be a force next year for bu. unlike the current post guys, he can actually score.

There is a small blurb in today's Peoria Journal Star's Hoop-du-jour column about BU commit Jordan Prosser--

      Who’s hot
Jordan Prosser, Eureka: The Bradley recruit increased his season averages of 24.2 points, 12.8 rebounds and 2.5 blocks following Wednesday’s 35-17-4 effort against Fieldcrest......

      Best Bets
Class 2A Canton Regional final: Top-seeded Manual comes in as the heavy favorite against a Peoria Christian team that held the top spot before losing two of its last three games of the regular season. PCS will face intense defensive pressure unlike any offered by its 26 previous victims.
Class 2A Minonk Regional final: Can Prosser lead Eureka past Seneca, one of 2A’s top teams? He will need help if the Hornets are to pull off the upset. Sharpshooting Wisconsin-Green Bay recruit Seth Evans leads Seneca, which will throw 6-9 Jake Misener at Prosser down low.

just got back....Eureka moves on by a 40-39 win over a tall Seneca team who started 6'8-6'6-6'6-6'4 and had two on JP all night who ended up (unoffical) 14 pts-10 rbs for the night! Sounds like Eureka will play closer to Peoria wed night against Peoria Manual @ the IVC gym!

PS...nice meeting Rusty 54, pfunk880 and Audacious Aficionado tonight!

Nice to see the BradleyFans all the way up in Minonk!

The newspaper articles say Jordan had 12 points, 9 rebounds.
The official scorer told us it was 14 points, 10 rebounds, but sometimes they change their final numbers before they become official.

The Hornets (18-8 ) now face second-ranked Manual (22-7) at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the second semifinal of the Chillicothe Sectional at IVC High School.

Here is Jordan and his Eureka teammates posing for a team picture with their Regional trophy.-
