According to JucoJunction.com, Chris Lowery has gotten a committment from Vincennes Junior College wing forward John Freeman. Freeman is originally from Indianapolis, and is a sophomore at Vincennes. He was a teammate of Dodie Dunson there last year.
He is described by his juco coach as a 3/4, and he chose SIU over Chattanooga and Eastern Illinois. He is averaging 13.9 ppg and 6.1 rpg at Vincennes.

Head coach David Ragland at Vincennes University is a first-year head coach. The Blazers recently had one of their sophomores make a decision on his future according to coach Ragland.
John Freeman, (SO) 6-foot-5 (200) from Indianapolis, IN, will take an official visit to Southern Illinois University in Carbondale this weekend. Freeman will only need one visit and will be a future Saluki according to coach Ragland.
"John is a combo forward, more of a 4/3 type player, that has a great body," said JucoJunction staff analyst Bret Swanson.
Freeman is currently averaging 13.9 ppg and 6.1 rebounds this season for the (20-8 ) Blazers. John is shooting 57.2% (147-257) from the floor. Freeman has scored 667 points in 62 career games at Vincennes.

He played high school ball at Arlington HS in Indianapolis, and originally committed to IUPUI out of high school, but never went there, and instead enrolled at Vincennes.
