    Newcomer of the Week
    Chris Roberts, Bradley, Jr., 6-4, Gd., Fort Worth (Texas) Dunbar HS [Navarro College]
      Roberts averaged 15.0 ppg, 3.5 rpg, 1.0 apg and 1.0 spg while helping Bradley to a 2-0 week.
    Coming off the bench in both games, Roberts shot a combined 80 percent from both the floor (8-10)
    and 3-point range (4-5), while also making all 10 of his free throw attempts. In Tuesday’s win
    against Missouri State, Roberts had 12 points, two rebounds and two steals, then followed with
    18 points, five rebounds, a steal and a blocked shot in Saturday’s victory at Loyola-Chicago.

LOUIS -- For the second time this season, Bradley junior guard Chris Roberts has been named the Missouri Valley Conference Newcomer of the Week, according to an announcement from the league office this afternoon.? Roberts helped the Braves (16-12) to a 2-0 week by averaging 15.0 points, 3.5 rebounds, 1.0 assist and 1.0 blocked shot.

              Nice work by CR, I haven't been the biggest fan of his at times during the season but he's definitely playing well now, when it matters most, at the end of the season.

                My sentiments exactly. I still don't think he should ever dribble or try and take anyone off the dribble, but when he's under control and using his athleticism, he is a very valuable player. I would argue that his athleticism is unmatched in the league.

                  Lee Hall had a nice piece about Chris Roberts getting the NOW for the second time this year. He had some video with the report showing highlight dunks from CR, so maybe it will be posted on the WEEK website soon. Thanks Lee!

                  I watched one other local sports report that did not even mention it. Shame on them!

                    I agree, with one exception. He definitely should have tried to break down the 310 pound guy in the UWM game when they were matched up.
