  • Favorite BU Player of All-time?

    David "The Sheriff" Thirdkill

Big Mike Williams - Boy I wish we had one of him again. He was also a nice guy outside the court and really laid back

Hersey Hawkins - Very approachable, kept to himself and probably the best player we have ever had at BU. I'm sure there will be a few oldies who will disagree.

I'll say Hersey Hawkins, before someone else does. But it is really difficult to pick just 1, since there have been so many who have played for Bradley and given everything they had.

Reggie Hall ..... fought through the scorn and boo's of some fans that for SOME reason thought that would make him play better.

Gave all he had and graduated with Degree in hand. If I was Reggie I would have been compelled to give those fans the one finger salute and walk off into the sunset...he didn't and I applaud him for that.

Favorite from jr. high and into high school.....

Mike Williams actually had one of his old sweatshirts that the team wore....man that thing was huge! Wore it until it was all worn out!

Hersey Hawkins- loved to watch him play and tried to emulate him.

Jim Les- just a hard nose player.

Of course when your older brother is friends with these guys and you get to hang with them in their SAC apartments...makes a big impression on a young kid!

          while attending BU....
          Marcus Pollard
          Dwayne Funches
          Deon Jackson
David "Chainsaw" Winslow man could he set a screen!
I worked at the FH and got to see and talk to these guys almost everyday and learned a lot watching practices. Still do many of the one on one drills in my practices!
Some see a hopeless end, while others see an endless hope.

            McMath

There have been so many. I'll pick one that not many people would.

            Harold McMath

When I first went to BU games I really like the way he hustled and worked harder than anyone. Not much on offense, but if you needed a rebound or some defense he was the one you'd want.

Honorable mention: Eric Roberson, Mitchell Anderson, David Thirdkill, Aaron Zobrist, Willie Scott.

                  I'll go with Jerome Robinson.

Even though he only had one great year, the way he carried that team despite his shoulder injuries was something special.

I'm surprised nobody has said Heemskerk... we have a couple (or more) posters with names (and avatars) associated with him.

Squeaky when I was a kid and Hawk when I grew up. Never met a nicer guy on or off the court than the Hawk.

There were SO many it's hard to pick just one. Those that really stand out -- Seymore Reed, Tom Les, Jimmy Carruthers, Bobby Humbles, Hasan Houston, JJ Anderson, Hawk (of course), and many others.....

Chico, Is The Hawk nice for a basketball player (most of which are stuck up you know whats) or nice for a regular person who hasn't been spoiled and given everything their whole lives because they can put a ball in a hoop?

GTD - Hawk stuck up? I briefly talked with the Hawk while on campus (yes - I was there for some of the same time)... and he was very approachable and such a nice guy to talk to. He seemed to shift the "spotlight" from him and talked about other stuff.
