New All Time NCAA 3-Point Record

The all time college 3-point record was set yesterday....

A Chiacgo kid, John Grotberg, who plays for Grinnell (DIII) broke Jeff Clement's career 3-pointer record by making his 517th!

Grotberg is also just 142 points away from the all time DIII career scoring record.

If I played for Grinnell, I could break the record also. That team is crazy. When they showed the game on ESPN a few years ago, they shot around 90 3 pters and subbed all 5 guys every whistle. They purposely pass up layups to shoot threes. It's awesome.

They played a game earlier this season in which they gave up 145 points, allowed their opponent to shoot 78 percent and still won by 18.

It could be a lot of fun to bring this team to Carver for an exhibition. Just to see this type of basketball. And we thought we used to shoot a lot of 3's....
