    Final score-
    ISU 56
    Niagara 70

ISU looked really bad from start to finish. I am sure Coach Jank isn't happy. Bad shooting, and I don't know how many turnovers they had, but there were quite a few unforced ones on bad passes. Shipley, who has looked good the last 2 games, had a bad game, as did Eldridge, and as did most of the ISU players. Any remote chance of an at-large possibility for ISU just evaporated with this

Box score should be posted here shortly-

Too bad for the Redbirds and the MVC on this one. ISU didn't look good while Niagara looked very good.

Both times we played ISU, I thought we did pretty well defensively. They got 52 pts at our place. They played in that tough, tiny Niagara arena. They did get easy looks when they went inside for a while, but when they relied on threes, they fell behind.

OMG...I heard the first few minutes then went to dinner then a couple high school games, so I am just now seeing the final score.
This is really a bummer........and expect a few "overrated" columns written by the talking heads about the Valley.

In a big game 1-12? Can anyone say "choke"? I know you Cub fans can!!! Maybe it's finally time to get rid of that Mohawk...

Illinois State got off to such a bad start that they just could not get over the hump, this loss means they have to win the conf. tour. or get no bid to the big dance once again, I think they beat Niagra at home.

A win IMO for next season.

Nice of BracketBusters to help ISU in scheduling.

I disagree that this was a big game for ISU. Their next two games are the big ones as they are battling for the conference title. ISU played like that's what they were thinking too. They weren't getting an at-large no matter what happened tonight, so it really didn't matter. Expect to see a much better ISU team Tuesday night in Normal.

Well the Valley may not be overrated, but ISU definately is! When we complain about BCS schools sneaking into the NCAA Tournament with a 20-10 record but with no quality non-conference wins, well, expect the same complaining to happen to an ISU team with one of the worse non-conference schedules I have ever seen!

Yes they do have a great win against Creighton and two decent wins over Evansville, but they needed this game against a Niagara team that had a 69 RPI coming into tonight. Now they will need to sweep UNI and Creighton to win the Valley which might give them two wins which could at least give the committee a reason to give them a look, but this loss tonight hurt.

ISU had a 0.001% chance of an at large bid.

                        That decreased by 0.00099% tonight.

I'm really worried about tomorrow. These games do NOT match up well for the Valley. Looking at each independent game, I gave 4-6 for the Valley.

That is what I was thinking. The best way to win the title on Sunday in St. Louis and get the automatic bid is through the one seed.

Who though that scheduling a Friday night game after ISU played on Wednesday night was a good idea? Because of traveling, they basically had no preparation time for an unknown opponent.

King "O" Looked like King '0.' If this is the 3rd. place team in The valley, The Valley is really down this year!
"Travel" "Not ia big game for them" BS. National TV and representing The Valley. I am sure they wanted it, they are just not very good.
If Niagara the 2nd place team in the MEAC dominates ISU, I do not even want to see what Sienna, the 1st. place team does to a sliding Northern Iowa team today. It could be ugly!

Well Siena did lose to the Shockers earlier this season.
