the valley's order of finish for 2006-07?

who do you think will win the valley's rgular season title? where do you see the braves finishing? how about illinois state?

here's is how i predict
1. creighton - getting funk back is huge
2. southern illinois - everybody is back
3. wichita state - lose miller but not much else
4. bradley - les turns in his best coaching job
5. missouri state - with a better coach would finish higher
6. northern iowa - a new era
7. drake - dr.tom's best days have passed
8. indiana state - sycs trying to improve
9. evansvile - a couple of good young players
1o- illinois state - moser's last stand

what are your predictions??????

1. CU - Best coach and best player = Championship
2. SIU - Return everyone from a very good team
3. WSU - Ogirri contends for POY
4. MSU - Return almost everyone, chip on their shoulder
5. BU - Best of a cluster for 5-8, a lot of questions though
6. DU - Who knows what Dr. Tom will run out there
7. EU - Could move up to 5th, solid nucleus returning
8. UNI - Too much turnover for a young coach
9. ISU - Young guys not ready for the MVC...yet
10. INSU - Lame duck = lame team

i don't know about northern iowa being 8th bbrave. stout should be ready for the regular season. coleman is pretty good player with some experience. brooks mckowen returns and travis brown showed glimpes of his potential.

i would like to have coleman and stout on the 2006-07 bu team.
they are a pair of good front court players.together they bring back 23 points and 16 rebounds a game back for the panthers.

Good points. Personally I feel 5th is being generous for BU. DU, EU, and UNI could all finish ahead of us very easily.

Standings

1. WSU - Great under-rated coach. Will become an elite top 15 team for years to come.

2. CU - Best coach and best player = Not quite good enough for #1 in The Valley. Another elite top 15 team next several years.

3. SIU - Over-rated too young coach! Return everyone from a very good team but will CHOKE!

4. MSU - Chip on their shoulder. Boring, but effective team. Maybe top 20 team

5. UNI - Tradition and returning big stud = top 40 and barely NCAA Tourney team

6. BU - Best of the rest. If Les can mold this group into 15-17 wins look for an NIT bid.

7. ISU - Surprise team of the year. Will finish strong and win
1-2 games in MVC Tourney. Outside shot at NIT.

8. EU - Who knows with these guys. Could be 6th; could be last.
9. DU - Outdated strategies and no-talent Iowa kids.

10. INSU - This team will be REAL bad!

I agree. 5th is generous, but not out of the question.

I disagree with the teams that could pass us. I have strong doubts against Evansville and (maybe not so strong against) Drake.

I know it is in our nature to not like, give props to, and project highly of ISU... but I think they will be MUCH improved on last year. I think they will be better than Drake and Evansville.

So where do they all fit.

I think VERY highly of these being the Top4: Creighton, SIU, WSU and Mo St.

I think UNI fits solid at 5.

6-7 is gonna be choppy (good at times, bad at times). Bradley and ISU.

8 Drake.

9-10 have spots reserved for Evansville and Indy St.

Hard to say until I see non-conference schedules.

I fear Littlepage's Committees.

The MVC is gonna have better teams next year (at the top) than they had last year.

I say Top 4 get in. And deserve to get in.

But...

Non-conference wins against quality (BCS) schools are gonna be key. And right now... NONE of them want anything to do with the MVC.

SO....

Definitely 2 get in.

Maybe a 3rd, and it will be the talk of the 'mouths' on ESPN and CBS.

4? OMG - total outrage again.

As for total in the Post-season, I say 6 see playing time in March.
