  • Two more scores of interest

Northwestern holds off Ohio St 72-69 to move to 5-8 in the Big Ten and 14-10 overall.

Also Butler loses at Wisc-GB 63-60, thereby getting swept by the Horizon's two Wisconsin teams on the road this year.

They better watch it or they will play their way onto the bubble if they lost too many more games!

Also Loyola wins over Detroit by 26 at home, 67-41
This is just the tip of the iceberg...

Detroit is just plain awful though, even worse than Loyola. But still Loyola has definately gained some momentum lately.

Butler has too much goodwill built up. They have Cleveland St at home and @ Davidson. Get one of those 2 and you're probably fine, although the seeding is going to take a hammering.

A real fun score is Davidson losing by 18 at home to the Citadel. Without GodCurryGod. That's probably a mulligan, but they're losing margin of error. Butler/Davidson essentially becomes a play-in game - winner should lock themselves into the field, loser probably makes it anyway but has to sweat for a couple weeks.

That's another positive for the Bracketbuster. Two great teams in a bit of a slump play for the chance to make a big statement at the end of the season. It doesn't work every year, but in a situation like this, the Bracketbuster is a great thing!

Actually, UW-Milwaukee beat Butler tonight (helps our RPI? )

            Fatty hit 4 three-pointers.

BracketBuster always works for a couple teams and horribly for everyone else.

Look at poor Siena. UNI is bursting their bubble for them as we speak.

We played both teams so I fail to see the advantage

I don't think so, but they are walking a fine line. They didn't play as tough of a non-conference schedule as usual because of their youth this year, so they must be in a little danger if they fall again in the regular season or early in the conference tournament. Their seeding will definitely take a hit, though.

Butler has a couple insurance policies (@Xavier, UAB) working in their favor. If I were them, I'd win their remaining 3 Horizon games just to be sure.
