Yeah I was wondering what happened to Ruff. I'd been wondering if he got hurt a bit after Jamal Tatum threw him on the floor (beacuse that was the last time I remember seeing him). I saw him later on the bench with a towel over his head, so I figured he wasn't feeling well.

Ruff was ill with the flu
but everyone played hard and I am very pleased with the efforts.
Our guys worked so incredibly hard to put themselves into position to win it all.
How can you explain a 10-12 minute stretch like we had??
Every shot they missed took a long, unpredictable bounce all the way to the corner or midcourt and they got those rebounds.
And our shots just didn't go.
But BU proved we are right there with the top of the Valley, beating the Valley regular season champ, beating Creighton, and playing right with SIU much of the way.

I know we had a great time watching them, and we aren't done yet.
We have to wait until Sunday to see where we play.

Let me also take time to give props to the Bradley fans.
We didn't have as many fans in St. Louis as Wichita, Creighton, and probably not as many as SIU on Sunday, and probably not even as many as MSU, but our fans were strong and supportive.
Our fans were everywhere dressed in red and sporting pins, banners, shakers, and other gear to let our team know we support them.

What a great bunch of people to be associated with.
Thanks to the folks from BU who arranged the pregame rallies and the other events.
I am looking forward already to next year, and I know the players are too.

Interesting article about the game by Bernie M in the Post-Dispatch today. Tony Young is more or less admitting that the elbow to the back of Po'b's head was intentional:

""I hope so," Young said. "It was the only reason I did it. Before that I was telling Randal, 'You have all these fouls to give, so USE ONE.' The big man was killing us. We had to let him feel our presence. So I let him know we were there. So he went up, and I clocked him. I wasn't intentionally trying to hurt him, but I wanted to send a message and give him something to think about next time he went up.""

I think that is wrong.............to come out and admit that is plain stupid IMO and I think I saw where Lowery was bragging about that play and just how tough his team was?
