    BU-MSU game notes from BradleyBraves.com-
Bradley Shoots For 500th Valley Win Tuesday

PEORIA, Ill. ? The Bradley men's basketball team will have both history and the future at stake when the Braves host Missouri State Tuesday night at Carver Arena.? The Braves will be shooting for their 500th all-time Missouri Valley Conference victory and they will be trying to move one step closer to securing one of six quarterfinal spots in next month's State Farm MVC Tournament in St. Louis.? Bradley's "magic number" (combination of Bradley Valley wins and opponent losses) is two against both Drake and Southern Illinois for one of those top six seeds.

Bradley, who has played 57 years in the Missouri Valley Conference, currently has 499 MVC wins. That total is secon only to Drake's 511 MVC wins. Drake has played 97 years in the MVC, 40 more years to accumulate the extra 12 wins.

    Shooting For 500th Valley Win
??? Now in its 57th year of Missouri Valley Conference membership, Bradley enters Tuesday??™s game against Missouri State with a 499-374 (.572) all-time league record.
??? Drake, which was a charter Valley member in 1907 and is playing its 97th MVC season overall, owns the record for the most MVC victories with 511 league wins.

We all realized the importance of the Evansville game and we took care of business. I don't think anyone would argue that we're a much better team than Missouri State. So, is there any chance this is like a "trap game" scenario. Not really that we're looking ahead to those giant killers, Loyola ... but just that we are going to expect to walk all over Missouri State.

I have confidence Les will have them ready and we will win by double digits. But with how inconsistent this team has been, it still worries me.
        Go Braves!

We're still 1-4 in our last 5. It's not like we're playing hot. We are coming off a decent win, but I don't think anyone is getting overly confident about the Evansville game or telling themselves this will be an easy win. We have a lot of kinks to work out, and still have to show we can play offense against a zone. The only possible trap game from here on out is the Loyola game, because they are still a bad team and the game is less meaningful than the rest of the conference games.

BU opens as a 7.5 point favorite tomorrow night against Missouri St.

In other MVC games, Creighton is a 12.5 point favorite over visiting Evansville.

He also said the last thing he would have wanted under the current TV/RPI circumstances was to be like Wisconsin-Green Bay and have to travel to Long Beach State this weekend, in the middle of battling for an MVC tournament seed.
I know we've sort of been over this already, but that makes sense to me. At this point, taking care of business in the MVC is obviously the Most Important Thing. At this point, a long-distance road trip wasn't really going to do anything meaningful for our post-season prospects, and it would only take our focus and energy out of the Valley portion of the schedule.

Good news about AW and WE.

I have also heard reports that Andrew has been the best shooter in practices. Too bad he couldn't have been 100% this season, I believe Bradley would have won several of those close games they lost, including both of the UNI games, and would be battling for the MVC title right now.

Not using that as excuse, but I agree, and having another big with WE would of made it interesting!

Well, just watching Andrew in shootarounds makes me excited. He looks perfectly fine and still has his sweet J. That should bode well for next season.
