I agree..DC had a good stat line.....21 mins, 1 stl, 2 TO's, 2 assts, 2 fouls, 5 rbs, 3 blks, 2-2 FT's, 8 pts! And I think he had more assts than given credit for, he was doing a pretty good inside/out game today which was long overdue IMO...really opened up the O'!
Good game in that we won and our offense made more shots:
C.Roberts and T.Wilson both played very well.
D.Collins had a good game but he went up against a weak opponent , he needs to do this against the other centers in the league.
T Brown played great but why does he not get in the 2nd half?
D.Norris not enough minutes.
S.Maniscalco good on offense but bad on defense.
D.Dunson had an ok game for him.
E.McCain good on defense but needs to be more of a threat on offense as teams are backing off of him more each game.
S.Singh can play better.
A.T. might have been able to contribute agaist Evansville" center who was pretty bad, he must really play bad in practice to not get any chance at seeing miutes in a game.
Still having a hard time figuring out the coaches substituion pattern, once again some guys played too many minutes.
Taylor Brown will get his minutes next year. Coach Les sees him as a "4", so he won't play him at the 5 unless both Sam Singh and DC are in foul trouble. So for now he has to take the few minutes when Theron is on the bench. He does seem to produce well in the short time he plays. But his play also drops off the longer he is in the game. So for now they want to keep his stints short.

How can anyone tell if his play drops off the longer he is in the game since he has never been in a game very long?

With the recruits that we have coming next year and hopefully a healthy Will Egolf, I hope JL sees Taylor Brown as a "3"... jmho
Bradley 72 - Illini 68 Final
???It??™s awful hard,??™??™ said Illini freshman guard D.J. Richardson, the former Central High School guard who played prep school ball a few miles from here and fought back tears outside the locker room. ???It??™s a hometown thing. It??™s bragging rights.??™
Very entertaining game. Defense was not very good. Free throw shooting was very good. Good movement on offense. CR & DC stepped up. SS looks slow to me compared to early in the year. Not sure he is getting worn out. TB might not play in the 2nd half because he is a frosh and TW is ahead of him. 1st 5 minutes after half made me sick. SM is a warrior, but he is a step slow on D. AT?????? wonder if he will be a Brave next year. TW was amazing! I wish Coach Les would have taken a quick timeout to let TW come out of the game with seconds left so the crowd could recognize his effort. Didn't CR learn from the 3 point shot against WSU????? Why the fancy throw the ball against the bankboard and try for some fancy slam at the end of the game?

How tall is Taylor Brown really? Someone give the truth if you know it. With all the size coming in during the next couple years, will Coach Les ever put 3 big players on the floor at the same time? That would dominate this league. Could Milos be a "2"? Can Wilkins be a "2" or "3"? Think about the possibilities... Think BIG. Sam & McCain can share the PG spot and BU could play very big most of the time. Look where the 3 guard line-up has gotten Coach Les (7 years of never finishing above 4th place in the MVC) and that fact cannot be disputed. Maybe he sees it too and that is why he has some bigger players coming? I can't wait!
We won but it sure didnt make me happy. We let the worst team in the league score 79 points, and barely beat them.
EU is not the worst team in the league.. Not by much though.
Regardless I am in agreement with Guinness. They shot 53% from the field got to the line a lot and we gave up 79 points 46 in the second half.
I am estatic we won, I am not being negative but we gave up 79 point to Evansville at home.
Very happy we won, but giving up nearly 80 points to a team that makes 3 3pointers. is not, atleast in my mind a great effort defensively. Might have been a fun one to watch, but defensively, to an undersized team, not even close to acceptable for a team that is susposed to have had defense as a point of emphasis this season.
