Do we get to vote on this?
???People say, ???Forget last year', but I want our guys to remember that one, because that will not happen again. We will be much better.??? Geno Ford, 9/22/12

So....one of those five boys is going to be a McDonalds High School All-American? Has BU ever had one of those?...

No, there is no guarantee any of the nominees make the final cut.

Here is the entire list of McDonald's nominees- there are 49 from Illinois, and well over 1000 total.
Out of these they will select 24 boys (and 24 girls) to appear in the All American games.-

So that kind of sounds like the top 500 men's recruits or so get nominated... So I'm guessing we have had nominees before? I'm doubting if we've ever had one before. Have we?

Marcellus Sommerville was a nominee, and there have been other BU players who were nominees, but Bradley has never had a McD's AA player since it began in 1977.
Among all current MVC teams, only Creighton (Benoit Benjamin in 1982), and Wichita State (Antoine Carr in 1979, and Aubrey Sherrod in 1981) have ever had a McDonald's AA. Tulsa had one in Ricky Ross in 1979 when they were in the MVC.

Here are all the past players selected to the McDonald's All Star boy's teams--

Maybe I'm wrong but didn't Steven Marcetic play in the McDonalds game? Wasn't he one of the three kids invited from Canada that year or am I mixed up..seems like I read he would be the 1st Brave to play in that game? Seems like he played in something special anyway because the hype was at an all time high!

I recal he received an invitation to the prestigious Nike Big Man camp in Indianapolis his senior year. Only a few dozen kids in the country receive such an invitation, and a few from Canada. But I do not recall he was on the McD AA.
