For those who are still bummed over last night's game and the last two weeks overall, there's always some team that has things even worse. That team would be Northwestern who blew a 14 point lead in the last five minutes tonight to lose at home to Illinois, 60-59! This is very similar to a game Bradley played at SIU back in 1996 when they went on a 16-1 run in the last five or six minutes to steal a victory from them on their way to the Valley regular season championship.
At least we didn't blow that kind of lead in the last few minutes against UNI and ISU this year. It also proves that the better team usually wins these types of games no matter how great the effort, though losing that kind of lead that quickly is not something to be proud of. But things like this happen occasionally and that's what makes this game so great!
