  • Another Mid Season Slide

Is it me or am I off here It just seems that every year incluing the Sweet 16 year, we hit a wall and go on a slide. Maybe I am off here but for what ever reason we go on a slide in mid season and have to scramble to stay of above water at the end. Good teams lose but seem to stop any slide no matter the reasons
There is no team in the the MVC that can match up to us the whole game, if our bigs come to play! BU will win the the MVC this year!

You can find streaks like this in most teams' schedules. The problems I see with this year's team are explainable by losing the team's best scorer, and most gifted inside player.

Coach honestly I really respect your passion for Bradley Basketball but the excuses are old and tired with this team.

We have had nearly all season to adjust to those injuries and in many instances we have adjusted very well. And I really believe none of this is talked about if we finish off ISU and UNI and I truely believe we are equally to every team in this conference other then Creighton, they have a better team and coach.

But, this team hit a wall at Drake and hit a wall last night versus CU in the last 10 minutes. If though you look at this team overall we are as decent as every other Valley team because everone is either bad or just average.

There is very little we do well other then turn it over with regularity, miss a lot of shots and play occasional defense. We are a .500 team.

It though all can be salvaged in a quick turn around with the next 5 games... atleast record wise to an extent but overall this season is what it is, an average team. But to continue to use the injuries well its old and been done, yes I know its a fact but both happened long ago and this team and staff adjusted. It has played guys more minutes then I am sure the staff ever imagined, and for our future that is great.

Well other then Thompson, it is time for JL to ditch the whole Collins and Singh only time at the 5 and move on these last 5 games to do as he has done at the guards and get Brown and Thompson on the court and end this horrible experiment with the two senior 5's.

        Most gifted inside player?

I read many posts before the season that AT was the most gifted inside player and would probably be one of the best in the MVC. What happened there? That is the biggest mystery of the season. I would like an answer from someone in the know. I wish it would come from Les. Someone from the local media needs to ask what has happened to AT and why he doesn't see the floor even in games that have been decided early.

            Perhaps it's because we're a mediocre team.

Every year: Who's fault is that, players or coachs, or what

How about if we just turn every thread on Bradleyfans into a gripe session where the fans who want to complain can look for who is to blame for everything that's wrong?

Oh, excuse me, it appears every thread is already that way.

After seeing him play even a few minutes, any objective fan would realize he is simply not good right now. Maybe in the future, but he lacks too much to be playing DI ball.

Alternative is to I guess just stop posting anything and turn this into a ghost town.. Atleast most care enough to give a darn about this program and want it to be successful.

You can see the potential but you can also see the deficiencies. I dont think it is wrong to point those out, especially when those deficiencies appear over and over and the same result occurs from those same over and over deficiencies.

bluedevil, if AT was getting his due time he would not look out of place. You can't expect someone to get spot minutes every 4-5 games and dominate...

I watched last night's game, and I enjoyed it a lot. It was a great college basketball game. Creighton is a good team, and they played extremely well to win that game. Bradley played very well. I am disappointed as anyone here that they lost, but I just don't feel the need to complain about the team every time they lose, affix blame, or point out the deficiencies of David Collins in dozens of threads.

I think we all agree on the deficiencies of this team. Maybe it could be fixed by having Andrew Warren and Will Egolf back, but that's not going to happen. A college coach can't just sign a free agent to fill the void.

Here's the best alternative, let coach Stowell
finish out the season. He can show them how to pass the ball and not turn it over. He can also show them how to make a pass into the post.

Doesn't losing 4 straight and 7 of 10 games have something to do with the complaining.
