  • 4 MVC games tonight- 2/11

There are 8 MVC teams in action tonight- Wednesday 2/11-

Drake at Indiana State at 6:00 pm- can Indiana State keep their momentum going? Will Coach McKenna abandon the offense the Sycs have run for the first 24 games and just tell Jay Tunnell to launch 30 to 40 three pointers tonight?

Illinois State at Evansville at 7:05 pm- Evansville is tied for 4th place with Bradley, and IlSU is one game ahead of Bradley in 3rd. Who would coach Les want to win this game?

SIU at Northern Iowa at 7:05 pm- SIU is now just one game behind Bradley. Go Panthers!

Bradley at Creighton at 7:35 pm- the start time is to accomodate the MVC-TV network- Go BU!

I'd be pulling for Evansville. We need to hold Creighton/ISU from getting away from us. We have 2 games left against Evansville where we can take them down to pull ahead of them. But a win of UE over ISU puts them at a tie for third at 8-6. If we could manage to sneak away with one @CU, CU would be at 9-5 and we'd be in the three-way tie for 3rd.

I don't care if we end up 4th or 5th (same game in StL!), but jumping up to the 3rd place game would be huge.

I'd rather be in the 4-5 game in St. Louis. The turnaround time for the 3-6 game is bad from Friday to Saturday, and the difference between the 5th and 6th place team is not that much this year. Plus I have a feeling that UNI and Creighton are going to finish 1-2 in the league, and I'd rather be on the opposite side of the bracket of Creighton as they usually own St. Louis.

The 4-5 game would be better as I also think having Creighton in the opposite bracket would be better, let ISU and them fight it out in the semi"s and hopefully us and UNI , if we can"t beat UNI then we don"t deserve to win the tour.

Does anyone remember that UNI has swept us and we have put up close fights with isu red and split?

Sorry, with the way isu's team seems to be having issues, I'd rather hit them in the tourney semi's than UNI. Creighton on the other hand... I hate them in the tourney.

And lets not play the "its tougher to sweep 3 games" game. Reference: Pittsburgh Steelers/Baltimore Ravens this year.

Ok, Evansville is outscoring ISU by like 50 in the second half and has made a game of it. Anyone know the real-time score????

Indiana State's Tunnell is now 19 for 23 in his last 2 games. As well as 13-15 for threes. I'm jealous lol.
