I think we have just as good as shot as anyone to win the tourney and get into the NCAA.

But the killer instinct can come out of no where when a team finally matures, and if that comes this season, we have a chance at a run into the NIT or even NCAA (an outside chance, since there's only one possible way we make it). You have every right to criticize and critique Les and the players, you can be realistic about postseason chances, but it's pretty much obnoxious to throw up the white flag and pray for next year when a particular day doesn't go our way. Man up and support the guys until the season is over.Originally posted by mrcoachdude View Postditto! great post......especially the cardinals partBradley 72 - Illini 68 Final

They DON'T need to "be there" and produce for me...
it's the other way around, and I need to "be there" and produce for them.......
and I am thankful that nearly 10,000 other fans seem to think so as well, every game!
I am NOT waiting for next year...

I'm not saying that they won't win the tourney or that I don't want them to win the tourney. I'm just saying that they're not quite there yet.
On the topic of the thread, I really think that 2010-2011 will be even better.

Thank you. Great post!
I'm getting REAL tired of some of the pessimism around here. And not because of how we lost the other night. That was disappointing. But I'm talking about how some here are writing off the season already. Please! That's not what the players and coaches need to be hearing right now with so much of the season left.
The NIT is still within reach, and the NCAA's are not out of the question either. Let's support the team when they need the support the most.

I think some of you give this board way more credit for affecting people within the program than it could possibly deserve. Do some within the program read this board? I'm sure they do...but I highly doubt that anyone loses any sleep over the fact that a bunch of nameless, faceless internet entities are saying negative, positive, or otherwise things about the team. If so, they are wasting a lot of energy on meaningless things that could be better served elsewhere.
This team is very, very well supported on gamedays and elsewhere in the community. That's the support that matters...

My statement was basically directed to the posters here, but some who read the posts here come away with the impression that we are not supportive of the team and those kind of feelings eventually spread to others. So while I was upset that some here are writing off the season, I'm not saying that the average Bradley fan thinks the same way. But I'm sure some players and coaches read this forum and I don't think they feel too happy reading some of what is written here. Just trying to keep things positive here, that's all.

It's read - but how much emphasis do they put on what they do to please us (fans on boards like this) is very minimal (and maybe they don't care).
But they do read.
