Heartbreaker. But BU played tough. Crawled back to tie and take a lead a few times. There'll be a few plays that we can say, "if only..." But I thought the team played well overall.

Thanks for starting the thread Ser Solace.

Been wanting to say... I'd rather have BU win... but at least we don't have to hear the old cliche crap about how you have trouble beating a team 3 times in a season.

    Cya in St Louis ISU.

Les said in the post game that the awful call on the inbounds ... apparently the ref told him it hit the rim???

      Wow.

Every break went ISU's way. Great effort by the Braves. Doesn't get any easier next game.
      Go Braves!

Great effort. I wish we had won but no complaints on the effort. Lets get UNI on Tuesday.

We played well enough to win today, just lost to a good team on the road. I hope we get a rematch in St. Louis.
          Can we start winning soon?

Honestly, this is one of the first times I've ever come out of a loss to ISU feeling good. We battled so many tough elements: the physical ISU D, the hostile atmosphere, 7 (I believe) ISU dunks, etc. That was a game we would have gotten blown out of in past seasons. But we hung tough and kept it close. Yeah, it would have been nice if Dodie hits the FT and Sammy doesn't miss the layup, but you gotta take the hand your dealt.

I'm proud of Dodie for rebounding from an awful first half and keeping us in the game. We have a somewhat favorable schedule over the rest of the season (after Wednesday) and I think we can pull away from the other teams we're tied with for 2nd.

This may have been one of our better games all year. I've got no complaints today; the better team won AT HOME. Would love to see the rematch in St. Louis

It definately was a good effort. DC and SS had bad games today which could have been the difference, but hopefully they get back on track Tuesday night. Overall though, good effort.

Let's keep things in perspective. It was a heartbreaking loss, but a win Tuesday night against UNI puts us at 8-4 and still in a share of 2nd place with a win against a great team. We have to play even better than tonight just to have a shot at beating UNI, but based on our effort at UNI, this is doable. Today's game needs to be put behind us, and the team needs to work on fixing whatever needs to be fixed from today. I have a good feeling about Tuesday night, but we can't harp on this one too long, no matter how tough it is to forget. So let's get UNI on Tuesday night!

Great effort. Unbelievable call on Eldridge's inbound toss. DD really calmed down and had a great second half, and I love TW's mentality more every game.

I really hate Eldrige and his hair cut. He looks like he should be playing professional soccer in Portugal, or well, the other thing he looks like I can't really say.

Bryce, it's okay you won. Home and home split is expected, but we'll throttle you guys at the neutral site.

Stunned, just plain stunned. I was expecting a loss but BU was so close in taking this one. I certainly want to see a replay on if that ball hit the backboard or the bottom of the rim. If it hit the backboard, then BU got screwed by the refs again. Still BU had a chance to take it but missed the layup by millimeters. Looks like its going to be a 3 team race for 2nd place now that Drake is on the verge of going 3 games back of 2nd place. I don't see anyone catching UNI now that they have most of their tough road games done with. A 2nd place finish is plenty satisfying though considering the circumstances this season and our returning squad next season.

Y'ah, Sam kept us in the game down the stretch with his three's. No need for that. I understand you're upset, but he was integral to the team being there at the end.

                        Good effort.

Didn't always execute on offense/defense. Ball didn't bounce our way too often.

Tough break for SM, was going a little too fast, but he hit some huge 3s to get us to that point.

I think we are capable of executing much better than we did today, yet still only lost by 4 at ISU.

The ball definitely bounced off the backboard on the inbounds play - I rewound and watched it 5 times now. I'd like to see the official rule for this type of play.

                        ISU is still ISU

I agree - Heartbreaker. If only a few more shots had gone in. I think we are right up there with anybody in the MVC. The MVC tournament will decide if we are in the NCAA, if not, I'm sure we'll play somewhere.

And thanks for getting rid of that ISU troll's post. I was about ready to let him know that his team actually won! You wouldn't have known it from his post though!

I'd look it up - but right now we have some drive-by shootings by some of the classy folks down the road.
