By the way people!!!! I dont think you guys are taking into account Molinari is 19!!!! he is one year held back and always was. he was maturity advantage over everyone in high school right now. He should be a freshman in college by age. (same goes for his brother David). So his real senior year would have been last year in his junior year. So when comparing him to people remember that he is older which of course is an unfair advantage to every1 else! so wake up! comparing him to kreps and what not. Molinari not that great and he is older than every1 else. Imagine kreps one year held back...oh boy! and I was serious and I do know basketball. I have watced PCS games b4 and know what Im talking about when I saw Kresps is soo much better than Molinari and Nickolpolis and Lavender were better as well. I have scouted b4 for teams. and all those guys are btter D1 prospects. Not many teams want a slow, short (he is not 6'2'' they overlist his hieght), unathletic shooter for a 2 guard in D1. at least with all others I mentioned they actually havea position they can play at D1 level. And again he is older than everyone by a full year (and probably year and a hlaf with younger people in the grade).

im sorry why everybody criticizing me saying Nickolpolis beter? like i listed he better in everything really besides shooting. So why molinari better? As a prospect why the heck would they take molinari over Nickolpolis who can play PG effectively, while Molinari doesnt havea position.

      get back to me

Nick never ever saw the defenses that Billy sees...Never.....I am not trying to critisize you or Nick....but you were the one comparing and I don't have to agree and don't ....nothing personal.....

Playing AAU is all offense and no defense which makes it hard to judge on how good a player really is, We will see how he does against Manual fairly soon.

mrcoachdude. that was a godo point about the defenses maybe. Im not sure about that, but you may be right there. But I think i remember teams concentrating on his drive especially (kind of like defense on LeBron although these kids are not at that level )

But also it is given defenses would be different right? since billy is a shooter.

but yea. I still think a whole year makes such a difference. so when comparing Billy to players like Nickolpolis, compare his Junior year to their senior years. And if you do that, I think that makes a difference. but as far as high school effectiveness Billy may be more effective, but I still believe that D1 level, billy does not have much to offer, while lavender, and Nickolpolis could be effective PGs, and we have seen Kreps do his thing already! Molinari wont come close to Kreps success

I feel like im bashing Molinari too much, he is a good kid! so no hard feelings

and by the way I still think Nickolpolis was a good player, and lavender as well. they may not have had as decorated as a HS career, but skill level I take those 2 before Billy (unless i need a shooter desparately...

And those two seemed to have more heart than molinari too, but that may be too subjective haha

Heart? Now I know you really do not know what your talking about......your arguing with someone that knows....

Lavender made All State thats pretty decorated......If you were arguing about Lavender vs Billy...that would be a tough one.....

haha i was kidding more so on the heart. ok talent ranking wise i go

                  1)Lavender
                  2) Nickolpolis
                  3)Molinari

                  HS success i go
                  1)Molinari
                  2)Lavender
                  3)Nickolpolis

yes Lavender went to state, but never got as much press as Billy does. Journal star overhypes Billy like nothing ive seen befor. probably because his dad was former BUcoach. but if i never saw Billy play and just read JS, i would think Billy would make NBA! lol . And as far as Nickolpolis he never got press even when he would have like 20+ pts many times in a row. There were articles about his lesser teammates over him lol. I dont get the JS

Lavender definately better than Molinari, hands down no contest! lavender best to come out of PCS for sure, athletic, quick, good shooter, jumps really high, can defend people and really has physical capabilities to play at high level. Molinari...not so much

at least with Nickolpolis and Molinari it would be a close contest and a good 1 on 1 to watch. they are more comparable than Lavender and Molinari.

And again you dont say anything to the fact Molinari one year held back! you dont think thats a big deal? its a huge deal I believe.

heybbballfans, we like to have people's opinions here, but we don't allow discussions to drag on back and forth because we differ. mrcoachdude and lefty are pretty close to all those kids, so their opinions certainly seem valid. So lets just accept that you have your different opinions about these kids, and not say more that sounds too much like attacking them OK. Thanks.

Also so you didnt coach them all?

I am a former coach at PCS......coached there since 93....still help when I can.....but I am not sure what that has to do with anything either...talent is talent...

In the end what matters is that a player has a chance to play a game they love and get a chance to get an education to boot......D1 D2 D3.... I have seen D3 players that could have played D1 and D1 players that should be playing D3

i agree with you there. either way you cut it, all those players we talked about were great hs players and all had good heart and im sure since you coached them, they were all stand up guys and their teammates probably love them. all of them definately are college caliber players and were fun to watch in hs. Im sure you had fun coaching all of them. Were all of them coachable players? Im just curious to see a coaches insight!
