I'm glad that the Dodie thread has turned more into bashing the original poster's thoughts. Most people understand circumstances and are calling out the original poster for being unfair and not understanding how things work.

I don't think there's a journalism/communications major or journalist that isn't worried about the uncertainty of their job or the future of the industry. We all knew what we were getting into, but we (most of us, at least) do what we do because we love it.
I agree with much of what SFP said. It's certainly an interesting time to be in this field.

There is no thorough investigation into a person's past and present state of mind to determine eligibility for acceptance to a message board.
