I haven't seen a team in the MVC that is at-large worthy yet. It looks like the league is building back up to having multiple bids in the future.

Is there even a team in the Valley with a decent inside game?

But you won't hear it from the "crack-pipes" in the Drive-by Media. The B10 will get stroked up and down and get at least 6 if not 7 teams in the Dance.

In defense of the B10 teams (and with that many teams/chances to win games), I think they will do well. From what I've seen, at least the B10 teams play defense better than most of the other BCS-Conference teams.
I agree. I wouldn't put them ahead of the ACC or Big East, but the Big 10 has actually been good this year, and I expect them to have a good showing in the tourney for a change.

There isn"t one great team in the valley this season; it will be a 1 bid league, but the future looks good as there are a lot of teams that are playing younger players which should make them much better down the road. Bradley is one of those teams that appears to be well stocked up as far as talent goes for the next 4 years.

Agreed. No MVC is at-large worthy at this point.

But it's not always about whether there are at-large worthy teams in this league. You're right, there is not one great team in the Valley this season, but finishing on top of the #8 conference in any particular year usually guarantees that the first place team gets in if they don't win the conference tournament.

Teams do earn bids, but conference affiliation helps in certain situations. And if it comes down to a different team winning the Valley tournament, the Valley will get two bids even if the first place team does not have the best credentials, especially since whomever wins the conference will have to beat quite a few top 100 teams to accomplish this. So even if the regular season conference champion does not have any top 50 wins, making it through a rugged conference schedule in first place makes this team at-large worthy in my opinion.

The odds are that we're going to get 2 bids. Just because we have no freakin' idea which 2 they'll be doesn't change that.

That said, the bracket buster pairings will pop bubbles. Note I didn't say the actual games and results. The pairings will pop bubbles. ESPN controls the bubble fate of a few teams. I'm dead serious.

The shear fact that it might even be true should be reason enough for the entire MVC to drop out of the BracketBuster. With us locked into the MWC Challenge, and the MWC vying for BCS status, there's no reason for us keep doing this. Yeah, it may sound elitist, but if we want to be viewed as a big boy we should probably act like one.
