I understand now why he is not playing. He looked lost the last game.

Ya, it was kind of painful to watch. It's always been a bit of a mystery how a three star recruit would be buried behind the likes of SS and DC with absolutely no playing time. The good news is that he's just a redshirt frosh. and has plenty of time to develop. Other BU bigs have paid big dividends after slow starts (Rabey, Koita, Akinkule)....we'll see. In the mean time lets support the kid and believe in him.

His appearing lost is more a product of not getting the game experience and nerves than ability. Most teams should be firing on all cylinders now. . .even bad ones like Indiana State. At one point JL told him to settle down, and he did.

And because of his lack of playing time this year, it will take him a good portion of the non-con to adapt to the game speed next year.

Agreed, AT seems to be caught in the proverbial college graduate job seekers problem. All available jobs need experience, yet how do you get that experience if no one takes a chance on you...

          Brilliant comparison...

Speaking of which, anyone want to hire an Economics/Finance BU grad in May?

A little OT but boy what a time to be graduating and I do not mean that because the team is going to be stellar the next few years I mean the ECONOMY! I graduated in '87 and that was a terrible year and time also, but this coming year has to be one of the worse in decades. I wish you luck and all the other BU grads. This would be a good time to go to the Peace Corp or even select grad schools if possible. The worse thing would be for you to try to stick it out and try to find a 9-5 that barely pays, that you hate and it may take 9-10 months to find. I say take a chance and find something where it becomes an adventure unless you have connections in landing a good job. In short do not waste your time waiting for the perfect job, you'll have plenty of time in trying to figure out what is the perfect job, go for something that will bring you some personal growth. At the end it is about the journey not the destination.

Good advice SFP. I have been taking multiple side jobs that add up to half a real job. Just started working at a bar. I think that may be the only place that you could never tell the economy is bad. Startin to think about grad school...

...and AT will be fine. I think he will get some decent time next year and be ready to contribute as a RS Jr. He looks a little rushed out there now and just needs to play at his speed and not try and rush everything to keep up with the likes of an Edge runnin the floor.

I got laid off from my internship the same evening that I started last Thursday lol. Apparently they forgot I was starting last week and word got to the vice President or someone. Sure is going to be tough finding a career job. Just read another 71,000 workers laid off nationwide today alone. That's like all of Bloomington/Normal jobless.

AT's progress is being impeded by his lack of playing time. There's no way that Nick Evans of SIU is any more talented or farther along than AT, yet he's finding time. Our post game isn't such that 'there's no room' for AT here and there. It's really frustrating to see a talent wasting away and not getting critical development minutes, even if only in small spurts.

You are 100% right. I saw both play in high school and AT was much better then Evans. I thought AT was our best post player last year . However, I did agree with his redshirting. Now if he could get just a few minutes a game I think we would see he has the ability to play at this level. He just needs to believe and get a chance.AT is going to be good before he gets out of here. Book it.

You are right Basketball Nut. You have to earn playing time.
