I enjoyed my return visit to Peoria this weekend. Thanks to all who make Peoria a very hospitable place. However (one exception), when I was at a local watering hole and a local found out I lived in Texas, she scowled and turned away... end of conversation. That was probably the funniest thing that happened to me all month!
I guess my Longhorns hat didn't give her the appropriate clue... afterall, she did initiate the conversation.
I did NOT regret leaving the 5 degree snowy weather for the comforts of central Texas.
I enjoyed the game; however, as mentioned previously in other threads, I thought that the crowd was kinda quiet for being near capacity. I guess the 4-1 score after 4 minutes of play lulled everyone to sleep.
