  • DC's game!

I will commend the effort by DC last night. I believe he commanded a lot of attention along with SS in the paint that allowed our shooter the space needed to get good looks. I believe his numbers do not show the value he contributed last night. He was really trying to post up and went hard after a few rebounds like he should every time. Along with EM hitting that top of the key shot I believe our team will go as far as DC allows us. He can really be a different maker still.

Now on what I would change is that since he really does not play with his back to the basket and during the CBI Tourney he showed us he had some touch on his shot why do we not step him out a bit for that jump shot from the foul line. It is getting to the end of his BU career and if by now he has not learned to keep the ball up and not to turn into the double team, he'll never adapt to being a true low post offensive threat. He also has the ability to come in weakside to probably get some nice offensive rebounds if he is moving a bit instead of trying to establish himself close to the basket. This should open up the middle a bit for TW and CR.

One more thing, SS should stop trying to set screens.LOL

Eventually the refs are going to realize it's an unfair advantage and call something...

it is a little unfair to set a brick wall on the court
Gloria: Who's side are you on?
Jay: She's my daughter, you're my wife. Let's remember what's important, there's a football game on today

How many rebounds did he have and only 1 point?
Yes he is big and can change things but costs us a lot of points also.
        A game changer? No way!

I never said he was a game changer, I said he can be a different maker. I still say this team is improving on a nightly basis and the one place that could turn us into a true contender is some better production at the 5. Well there are only 2 players at the 5 right now SS and DC. I believe we are getting all we can from SS but DC still has an upside. I just think we have to reevaluate how we use him. Also his intensity against InSU did make a difference on how they defended us. If can build on that progressively we all may be a little surprise come March.

SFP, are you saying DC is a sleeping giant. I hope so but how much longer must we wait I think we may not see him play like he did in a couple of those CBI games. But I will take what we get from him. All I want to see is his hands up and a all out effort. If you look at our post play stats, they our not that bad and their D is not that bad. Areas of concern is the FT shooting and 3 point shooting. Those two areas have cost us more games then the post play.
            Sat. Night, SS = 14 min, FG 3/3, FT 2/2, RB 2, TO 0, PF 2, ST 1 and 1 BK
How about that break away length of the court steal and the SKY DUNK
            Go get them Sam
There is no team in the the MVC that can match up to us the whole game, if our bigs come to play! BU will win the the MVC this year!

I like that JL on the radio called SS's dunk "a hard layup" or something like that!! Pretty funny.

Hi romar. Doe's JL know what he is doing by saying that to all of us fans who have been waiting for 10 yr.s for Sam to dunk That was something to see that masked man of 245 lbs. with all his crack bones screeming and racing in open court for the slam Great job Sam

He called it a "strong" layup, but definitely not a dunk!

OB74, you know JL never gave RUFF the credit for his one dunk Not sure what he called it

I'm telling you when DC plays with the energy like he played tonight, good things happen with this team. He needs to learn to keep the ball up and not bring it down though on O. I hope he brings it to the isu game because as I have been saying he can be the difference between an average team to a pretty good team that can win the conference!

Yeah he was aggressive and looking angry tonight....I yelled at him once and I was so close I think he heard me...he proceeded to score 2 points for us. I did my part.

If DC would quit trying to dribble or stop bringing the ball down to his waist every time he gets it....well DC could score a lot more pts....just keep the ball up around the shoulders so guards can't grab or swipe it out of his hands!

                            3 blocks last night. Beast!

I was almost upset when I saw Singh coming in after one of DC's monster blocks. And I love Singh.. but DC was on a roll!

DC is getting better every game...

We are not talking about him being an impact player, but at least an asset rather than a liablity. He is playing with A LOT more energy and awareness.

He along with SS (who is also improving each game) will play a huge role in the conference race and where we fit...middle of the pack or top two...or better?
