Give that guy a suspension, at least 4-5 games. Could of seriously hurt his neck or worse. Granted it was with spikes, but one of the NFL Titan's players was suspended last year for 10 games for this very same incident.

When the guy was walking off towards the end of the clip the guy had a goofy smile on his face. Something doesnt tell me it was an innocent move. Also, when he steppd on the guy face, he made no effort to apologize, he just kept going.

He wasn't looking down when he stomped on that guys face.

Most cheapshots your not looking at the player. If he was looking at Budinger, it would of made his move that much more obvious.

                Coleman applogizes

Can he be forgiven the way many forgave Witter for his "fight" with Dillard?

Orginal article with some comments from the always "interesting" Tom Penders.

It's takes a big person to apologize and I respect the kid for making the effort. All kids make mistakes and this kid certainly has paid a big price for doing something stupid "in the heat of the moment" (and yes, I still think it was intentional).

I hope the media let's this go now.

He apologizes but he says it was not intentional. That's kind of hard to believe watching the clip.He knew Budinger ws there and sure didn't make much effort not to walk on him.

Sometimes I wonder what goes through people's heads when they do some poop like this...

at least w/ guys who play hard (Salley), it was because he was going for the ball and being a tough basketball player.
this guy was just being a punk and laying a cheep shot after a hard foul.

I'm really glad we don't have anyone like that at BU, it would make me ashamed as a fan
Gloria: Who's side are you on?
Jay: She's my daughter, you're my wife. Let's remember what's important, there's a football game on today

Now Houston coach Tom Penders is upset. He is accusing ESPN of doctoring the video of this play to make it appear that the Houston player was looking down (which he wasn't) and that his stepping onto Chase Budinger was intentional.

                        see what you think.

                          Penders' whines are hollow.............
No kidding. It's not like the player just turned around and a guy was on the floor...he had just charged for crying out loud.
It's hard to give the kid the benefit of the doubt. He did nothing to avoid stepping on him. He knew exactly what he was doing IMO

Never been a Penders fan either.

                            see what you think.
He is upset because Coleman is receiving death threats and the whole U of H program is getting some bigtime bad pub.

What Penders refuses to acknowlege is that what Coleman did was just dumb and anyone with any sense of right and wrong can see the play and determine what Coleman did was likely intentional. My wife who does not follow any sports, at dinner asked me why that player stepped on the guys face on purpose.

He thinks the media is making to much of this and needs to back off.

I don't like Penders but I DO agree with him here. The kid apologized and was suspended. Let it go! Les would do the same to help one of his players.
