Actually we would have won by more points had they not missed the alley oop and dunk attempts near the end of the game.

In all seriousness though, we played well tonight. We did play to their tempo during the first half and struggled a bit, but played to our potential in the second half. Again we had a 40 minute effort and if we continue to put the effort in, I'm confident we can steal a couple of more road games before the end of the season.

Creighton is looking more winnable by the day!

Yea - right on. I like quiet nights. Just thought according to posters elsewhere - Bradley would lose so it would be a miserable night on this board. Instead - peace.

Hey, an easy win is the same as a tough win (except in the eyes of the selection committee). A team that intends on playing in the postseason has to win those "quiet" games as well.

Now it was a quiet game, but at least from what it sounded like on tv the crowd was quite into the game, especially in the first half and early portion of the second half. Glad to hear that place rocking as usual.

          Just a couple of thoughts....

I thought E. McCain played very well tonight....maybe his best game of the year. He is starting to shoot a little more and he is definitely not playing like a freshman. I like his game.

Chris Roberts seems to be struggling just a bit lately. He hit a couple shots tonight and it seemed to get him going a little. We need a little more production from him the next few games.

I think DC is more active than he has been. He makes a difference on defense. Just his presence under the basket altered a few shots tonight from the syc's. He still has trouble grabbing the ball on rebounds and passes. I wish he would get real P***ED off some night and play with some intense passion...I don't think we will ever see that though.

I love Sammy coming off the bench...it seems to "fit". He gives us a lift when he comes in and seems to be shooting the ball better. Hope his foot is OK.

SS had a nice steal and breakaway DUNK . This might be the first time I have ever seen big Sam throw one down.

Theron and Dodie....just keep on doin' what your doin'. Pretty solid night for both of them.

Last...get well soon to DogsRus who is fighting the flu bug (and losing) He was not at the game tonight and he doesn't miss many...hopefully he will be in attendance and full voice Wed. night against the Shockers.

Yes, who was the "un-named recruit" or was that "future player"? Paul Herzog pointed out next to Jerome Robinson behind the ISU bench? (He also pointed out Heemskirk and Summerville..)

This is an excellent summary of the game, TAS. The only thing I feel I know now that I didn't know before the game is that AT will likely get lost in the mix once he begins battling WE, MK, and JP on a consistent basis next year.

Side Note: Anyone else notice AW in uniform tonight? It was great to see that silky smooth J during warmups. I'm not sure if that was posted elsewhere, but I thought it was significant to see him out there with the team once again. After the game, he said that he is "dying" to get back out there and is counting the days until next season.

I think it underscores why we need to et AT more minutes now. WE needed a long D1 adjustment period, AT seems to need one. I'd hate to start next year with potentially 3 backup centers that still need that D1 adjustment.

                    That answered my "recruiting" question
I??™ll tell you. It was when Jerome Robinson was captain. J-Rob was in the house Saturday, for the first time since that 2000-01 season; retired from a six-year pro career in Europe and showing off his two young children.

After a sloppy first half, we played a much better 2nd half and put away a bad team. Wednesday will be a little tougher, but we should still handle WSU with similar effort on the defensive side we displayed tonight. a 2nd sweep over a cellar dwellar is a must

Andrew Warren was in uniform last night for the first time. He has been doing better and practicing more, but there was no intention of him playing.

Probably the major reason was because of the throwback jerseys. His #24 would be one of the better ones to auction, and it wouldn't be worth as much if it wasn't "game-worn"

                        Some other thoughts--

I also thought the referees were great. What a pleasure to watch a game where the refs don't see themselves as the star attraction.

There were no recruits at the game.

The broadcast crew did confirm that Sam Singh's dunk was the first of his BU career. Earlier in the year Sam did say he hoped to get a dunk this year before his career is over.

Attendance was great- 11,033 at Carver Arena last night.

Nobody played more then 30 minutes for Bradley.

                        They shot .568 (25-44) and .467 (7-15) , but missed 9 of 20 free throws.

Bradley wins and drops to 91 in the RPI.

The Broadcast team also said that this is the first time a Jim Les coached team was six and three in the MVC. This is the best record Jim has had after the first nine games in the conference?? That seems hard to believe???

                                noise

with over 11,000 in attendance the noise, energy level, and 6th man effect was just not there. More people sit on their hands when the fight song is kicked in than stand. Ive seen a lot of games the last 20 years at the civic center and last nights crowd effect was probably the lowest based on a near sell out. whether it the cold outside, mid winter blues or something else it was kinda disappointing. I feel the team does feed of the energy level from the fans but cannot understand the lethargy of last nights game from the home croud
