Just a couple of thoughts that have been banging around inside my head since last night....

Dudson has been playing very well lately and deserves to start and needs to be out there a lot for us to succeed.

Sam M. played well last night coming off the bench...maybe this is his role right now, giving us a boost coming off the bench.

3 shots, THREEE!?!!? That is all we could get for TW? We are not going to win many more games if that is the best we can do...

Overall effort last night was good coming after the SIU game....

that said, I am still not happy that we had a double digit lead and could not put it away...and I refuse to blame the refs on this....as I tell my kids, if I blame a ref for a loss then I would need to give them credit for a win, and we work far to hard to give someone else credit! We need to learn to put teams away when we have the chance.....

Still believe we can get this done, the next 2 games are at home and will tell what kind of team we have.....2 wins should be expected....puts us at 7-3 going to ISU with a chance to solidify our hold on 2nd place and keep us in the hunt for a title...

    GO BU!!!
Some see a hopeless end, while others see an endless hope.

We were on the verge of putting them away, but had 2 buckets taken away in that 7 minute drought by you know who. 1 was a 3, the other a 2 pointer. Could have pushed the lead to 15, but you never know, maybe they still would have come back on us.

I agree Bigdaddy. Dodie should be a starter. He is the second or third best player on the team.

DD is a consistent scorer...needs to be out there...CR is not scoring right now and TW will get back on track....EM needs to get the ball in the hands of the scorers when the shot clock is winding down.....TB needs more minutes, period......INS is a MUST WIN IMO, if we want to compete for a Championship!

I agree and have been chiming on this for quite some time w/ Sammy...

I really like the energy we had from our starters as we jumped out and were aggressive...and kept a comfortable lead throughout the entire first half, up until Coach went back to the usual suspects for awhile...

I also will agree w/ some other posters about Taylor...the kid can really hit the boards and will fill up the stat sheet if given more time.

Plus, how hard is it to replace the 5 spot at this point?

Also, is this where I say the referees don't surprise me one bit...they get worse every minute of every game of every day of every week of every month of every year in the conference and frankly I'm really starting to believe that Jim Beim (sp?) is blind as he has no clue how to properly evaluate his officials and Doug Elgin is a cheap-skate to save a better term as he isn't willing to pay properly for better talent...

I mean c'mon! 3 monkeys could have done a better job last night! People wonder why our conference can never make the jump to being a major...this is a big factor...

Lastly, I'll just say this. We need to be 7-3 going into the isu game and at least 8-4 after our next 4.

I agree with you my friend. I think this thing is going down to the wire, unless someone and I just don't think it will happen, gets HOT and wins out or almost. If the second happens, I hope it will be this young BU team. If this group plays like it did last night, minus anymore no scoring spells and hopefully not having those 3 (monkeys) officiating, we will be there in it the last couple weeks. Just got to keep our heads up and in the game, plus play hard every min. and we will be right there.
There is no team in the the MVC that can match up to us the whole game, if our bigs come to play! BU will win the the MVC this year!

It just really sticks in me that if it comes down to the wire and we end up w/ a bad slot because of this game it may ruin our chances for a deep Valley tournament run and/or a chance to go dancing...

And yes I know thats a long way off, but we have seen instances where things in the middle or beginning of the season can ruin the end of it.

We now need to make a statement and go out and kick everyone's *ss left in our way and prove that we can overcome 8 on 5 games and officials not being worth the uniforms they're wearing, the whistles they're blowing, or the vehicles they came in!

Then at the end of the tournament we can tell them all to stick it in their pipes and smoke it!
