Ya the sequence is very out of whack... that is why I was having some trouble following the actual sequence of events...but I think I have it down now...
I think it should be something like this...
00:22 62-59 H 3 GOOD! 3 PTR by Dunson, Dodie
00:22 ASSIST by Maniscalco, Sam
(I assume the intentional foul was after the 3 was made???)
GOOD! FT SHOT by Ahelegbe, Kwadzo 00:22 62-56 H 3
GOOD! FT SHOT by Ahelegbe, Kwadzo 00:22 63-59 H 4
00:20 FOUL by Wilson, Theron (P2T9)
MISSED FT SHOT by Ahelegbe, Kwadzo 00:20
REBOUND (OFF) by (DEADBALL) 00:20
MISSED FT SHOT by Ahelegbe, Kwadzo 00:20 REBOUND (DEF) by Dunson, Dodie
Is that closer to what actually happened? Who was the INT foul called on?

And again, RF21, although I think that officiating didn't necessarily cost BU the game, it sure put a hurt on them in the final couple of minutes. What I am saying, regardless of the outcome is that these officials were absolutely terrible, and in my opinion ruined the game in the final 2-3 minutes. Valley officials make a game no fun to watch, with the constant and inconsistent illegal screen calls, phantom carry calls, no calls on people getting hammered under the bucket, yet then they call a touch foul 40 feet from the bucket, with that call coming from the endline ref no less.
Does anybody know why in world the refs were reviewing the monitor on the one foul call when Sam M shot the free throws? How can you call a foul in the first place if you don't even know WHO got fouled? The refs were a joke all night.DUBL R 1

I thought the refs were bad both ways. the intentional foul call was bad, but in the end it didn't lose us the game. he made both of his free throws, they retained possession, got fouled, and missed those free throws.
I dont get why Singh was playing so much in the second half. He had a bad night. I like Sam as a player, and normally he plays much better, but he just didnt' have one of his best nights. DC played poorly in the first half, but was more fired up in the second half, i wish he had gotten some of those minutes.
We have offensive deficiencies. that will continue to haunt us. Its very difficult to play spectacular lock-down defense for a full 40. Unfortunately, two of our best offensive weapons are not available to us, but we have to play through that. I think this team is overachieving considering our talent (not knocking our talent, but let's face it, we're thin inside and young outside) and sometimes we will get exposed.
the players played their hearts out. Credit to them. We knew going in, it would be a tough game. Second-chance points and timely turnovers hurt us.
Please, don't blame the officials on this one. If you want to blame the refs, dig out the UIC tape from last year. I still cringe to remember that. But this game was decided when we lost our offensive "mojo". We play defense like this the rest of the year and we're still looking at a good finish.

Thanks for the effort and explanation to help me understand the situation... it does sound like a small contributing factor to losing the game... it appears this was just the worse of several bad calls that didn't go your guys way... it sounds like most people have stepped back from the ledge today, regarding the officials completely costing BU the game, like some people said last night.
Same over in Redbird land... some people are stepping back off of the ledge after a night of good sleep, after wanting to bench the starters, give up their season tickets, and fire the coach last night after the game

Okay, you've got that axe to grind then. I've seen lots of very strong team play from our team more often than not, and I think that's a credit to the coaching staff. I don't think Jim Les is a great head coach yet, but to me it's clear he's vastly improved compared to the Jim Les seven years ago. He's been an excellent recruiter and a very good motivator, and I'd say these days he appears to be a decent to good in-game coach (compared to his early days that's a big improvement), and I'm starting to think he's at least an average teacher now.
