I've met him, I know. Didn't want to show him up... that's why I was sure to quote him.

I played college baseball with Jon Grzanich who is an assistant at the Junior College maybe I can help have him hidden so no one sees him and he gets that degree ASAP. Also Graznich used to the head coach at Spoon River and I know him and Les have a relationship. So that probably is good.
But this is not good as far as Wilkins ever coming to Bradley. But thats less the issue here, what is the issue is the absolute preference the NCAA shows towards BCS programs. We will never be given the full and absolute truth as to why Wilkins was denied but it does not take a huge leap of faith to believe that he was denied simply because of the school who wanted him accepted.
Darrell Arthur and Kansas get essential a free pass for what likely amounted to complete grade fixing by his high school. Him and the program get cleared with little issue. But Wilkins who passes his entrance exams on the first try is denied because of "issues".
The NCAA is nothing but a bunch of hypocites and we just got it bigtime from them simply because it is Bradley. If this were Wilkins trying to get into Kansas, does anyone believe he is not admitted 2 weeks ago and is featured on ESPN before a game.
This decision is a complete and utter joke.

The NCAA 5-game penalty only applies to NCAA basketball. That is the only jurisdiction the NCAA has. their penalties do not apply to juco, but will still apply once Wilkins appears at the NCAA level, hopefully in 2010-2011.
The prep school option probably was not considered, because the problem the NCAA has with JWs background education would still apply, even if he went to prep school. He has already graduated high school, so he doesn't need prep school to get the HS degree like many kids. And the NCAA likely would still not clear him even after prep school.
This case is actually most similar to Xavier Crawford. He attended Mt. Zion prep school in North Carolina, and graduated from another certified prep school (Boys to Men). He also was said to have gotten a qualifying score on his ACT. But the NCAA still didn't clear him and after a summer at Bradley awaiting clearance from the NCAA, headed off to Yuba CC.
As we know, he said he remained committed to Bradley, though his recruiting was reopened, and he is now at Cal State Northridge.

He could still come to BU in 2010 if he graduates, but I don't believe he is able to sign a NLI until Nov. 2010.

Because he is enrolling now, and would need to do extra work to move up to graduating in 2010, he is not by NCAA definition, a standard student who is due to finish in 2010.

T, I was refering to past posts and another thread, BB has quoted as saying, (JW will not suit up and play for BU this year) sorry you are confused BB you did call it
It's to bad, as I was hoping for the best for both him and BU. Still amThere is no team in the the MVC that can match up to us the whole game, if our bigs come to play! BU will win the the MVC this year!
