This is like the Grundy,Buycks, and West ordeal all over again, there was a lot more to the grade issue then we were told as we were led to believe there were 2 minor issues to be cleared up , how does he pass his act or sat"s on his 1st try and then is told his grades are not ok from Belgium.

He enrolls at Southeastern Iowa, and remains committed to Bradley.
He will havwe to earn his degree there before being eligible at D1.Onward and Upward!

If it's the NCAA just being difficult, then that's really unfair ...
But if he is trouble in the classroom (not saying he is, but some of the posts here seem to elude to that?) ... then I wouldn't want him here, same as Buycks/West.
I think Bradley can always consider it a great source of pride that they have STUDENT athletes going to Peoria, not just athletes. I hope we never lose sight of that. I want kids to play here that care about playing basketball and going to class ... not just impressing talent scouts (*cough*Fears*cough*)Go Braves!

If that's true, great for him! Honestly, it shows how little attention I've paid to the 100 post thread on Wilkins, as I never thought he'd arrive at Bradley this year (or most likely ever).
I still stick by the fact that I want student athletes at Bradley ... we all should want that.Go Braves!

This is an issue for numerous foreign players. I could list hundreds of similar cases where kids from Africa, Europe, Australia, and other countries ended up going to junior colleges to gain eligibility at D1.

Wilkens
WMBD radio said, NCAA mandated he must first get his Associates degree before playing D-1 ball.
To me that means at the earliest, if ALL goes well, we would not see him in a BRAVES uni untill the 2010-2011 season.
Seems to me if a kid passes his ACT-SAT and a College with Bradleys academic reputation feels he is qualified to enter the University and do College level work, then he is.
