Not just you, SLB... but I dreaded coming on here (and didn't last night) because I knew this would happen.
I was standing at the Peoria Buffalo Wild Wings with family and someone came up to us and said he couldn't wait to get home and check the board just to see what everyone was b!^(#ing about this time. At least we know what to expect after the games. I don't believe we should be in "meltdown" mode after last night's game, but we need to come out really strong and with a lot of emotion against UNI in order to get back to 1st and have the advantage over them. And let's make some free throws!
???People say, ???Forget last year', but I want our guys to remember that one, because that will not happen again. We will be much better.??? Geno Ford, 9/22/12

I think I can speak for most people when I say that most of us are not in "meltdown mode" because of one loss at Carbondale. We all knew it'd be tough. I think most are getting more nervous about how this season is going because when conference play started we thought most of the problems we had in the non conference schedule had been fixed and we were playing like a team that wanted to win. We were making free throws, we were playing pretty good defense, we were making a respectable amount of 3s, our offense was working. The "meltdown" isn't due to this one lose; it's because there are signs that we are slowly lapsing back into the other team ever since we played Creighton, and if things continue this way you can bet we aren't going to win many more games this season. Everyone always acts like this board is so rash and can switch over at any moment, but that's just not the case. We cautiously got optimistic for this season while we were doing good...not after one game, and now we are just cautious about the season and it's because of the past 3 games...not just one. Stop acting like everyone just likes to jump on and off after one game when that isn't the case...people's opinions are justified after the trend that has been happening in the last 3 games. It's bad enough to watch the team play so crappy, and then get on the board and express your opinions and get called out on it like you have no reason to be upset because of this one game. Well NEWSFLASH, we've been playing bad since Creighton.

Bradleyguy10, show me where anyone with a negative opinon has been "called out". The only person attacked since last night's game has been me. I have been accused of posting "kool aid drinking posts" and not knowing what I am talking about, and not being "objective, and "putting a positive spin" on things. I have also been accused of not watching the game, when I believe I was the one of the few here who were actualy at the game.

my thoughts exactly. Anything to avoid the dreaded 2:35 matinee
