They're probably also trying to swallow that tough last loss.

We haven't won in Carbondale since AP's senior year. We've got an awful lot of demons to exorcise to get a win down there.
      Onward and Upward!

Starting tonight, these next two games just maybe the season as beside the isu game the schdule is looking very favorable for us. One game at a time, starting tonight Just got to want to win more than the other's. Make ft's, play D, don't turn it over and get the inside game going and only shoot and make the wide open 3's Sound easy, lets do it.
There is no team in the the MVC that can match up to us the whole game, if our bigs come to play! BU will win the the MVC this year!

I have a feeling that streak isn't going to be broken tonight. Missed FT's (as usual), turnovers, bad shots, all going wrong. Thankfully Creighton lost yesterday.

Not a good showing when you are playing for a share of 1st place, we seem to be so inconsistent scoring the basketball.

                  In order: FT's = 9 for 19, D = , TO = 20, Inside game = 6 pts and 8 rb's, 3's = 3 for 15 Easy, not if you don't come to play or play good
Do these players think someone is just going to hand them the Title

You forgot about the 10 pts combined from 4 starters...

Is it time to place Dodie and Darian back in the starting lineup yet?

Gosh, I don't know, maybe get AT some minutes...How much worse could he be than the starter we have now who couldn't hit a shot if the goal were 10 ft wide

Yep...it does seem like we're coming back down to earth. The abysmal free throw shooting and three point shooting have found their home this season I have a feeling. The only good thing about this game was that on the way to BWW I called out SIUC will win by 6.

Another thing....did anyone else think we had a much easier time of scoring when we did a hurry up type of offense in the last two minutes. Give it to a guard have them run down the floor as fast as possible and if they could lay it in...then they would..if not they'd stop and pass it back out. I wonder if JL noticed that efficiency and is going to implement a faster breaking offense. Other than that all I can say is...where was the intensity that I saw in the last 2 minutes the entire game? Does this team really not care? Because I was convinced we had a team that WANTED to win. They sure didn't act like it tonight minus the last 2 minutes where I think they played pretty well.

                        Darian, not sure. Dodie, yes.

There's no way that redshirt freshman Nick Evans is any farther along than Anthony Thompson. There's no reason AT can't be getting some minutes. None.

In any sport, you always wonder (without conclusive evidence)

Is the hurry up offense really effective enough to work as a game plan, or was it only effective becaue the other team (SIU) went into "prevent defense" mode. (i.e. do not make dumb mistakes by being too agressive to foul?)
