  • Patrick O'Bryant's first Pro Game

The Warriors summer league team lost to the Blazers Friday night 87-70.
    Patrick's line:

    Patrick O'Bryant, C 24 2-7 0-0 0-0 1 2 3 0 0 1 4 5 4

    2 fo7, 4 pts, 3 rebs, 1 blk, 4 TO, 5 fouls,
not real good, but as you can see, nobody on Golden State even got double figures in points except Ryan Humphrey who had 10.
The Blazers had 6 players in double figures,
Brandon Roy (13), Martell Webster (13), LaMarcus Aldridge (14), Travis Outlaw (15), Hector Romero (10), Kevin Pinckney (15).

Here's a really nice, long story about how Patrick did in his first pro game, with an interview of Pat.

70 points is the lowest offensive output by any team in the Las Vegas Summer League, so far. This Warriors summer league team looks like it might be offensively challenged.
The 3 guards that played for the Warriors were all point guards, Juan Jose Barea (lead the NCAA in assists the past 2 years), Will Bynum, and Curtis Stinson, but none of them had more than 2 assists and they had 5 total (team total 9). By comparison, the top 3 for the Blazers had 10, 7, and 4 assists (team total 27). With guards like that, maybe POB will have to handle the ball himself to get more shots.

Sounds like POB had some bad foul calls, something he'll adjust to. He is going to impress people with his maturity and intelligence.

it is kinda cool that we can follow every pro game pob plays now.

if he stubs his toe, we will know it.

Today's Summer League games are already being played.

        Celtics beat the Mavs, 91-87.

For the Celtics, Sebastian Telfair had 17 pts, 6 assists,
but Providence's Ryan Gomes had 29 pts 9 rebs.

For the Mavs, Cellus wasn't on the roster, even tho he's reportedly been signed.
Anthony Grundy was scoreless, Maurice Ager had 23, Pavel Podkolzine had 10 pts/7 rebs.

        Detroit beat the Wizards 70-64
Both teams shot poorly, only 2 3-pointers made in the entire game.
Makes you wonder how teams in the NBA used to average 120 ppg back in the 70's even before the 3 pt shot was invented??

Golden State plays at 4PM Vegas time (5 pm here)
