Illinois recruit Eric Gordon reportedly de-commits

Sampson is at it again.
It is being reported he is after Indianapolis prep star Walter Offutt who is Class of 2008 and already verbally committed to Ohio State.
He just can't keep his mitts off other schools' recruits.

All the latest headlines about recruiting touch either on Indiana's failures, Indiana's tampering
with committed recruits, or else talk about the good players Purdue (IU's arch rival) is getting.
Sampson acts like he isn't worried, but he should be and IU folks are getting nervous about this guy.

Kelvin Sampson has "no shame in his game", that is his problem. And why should he. He committed the most violations ever by a college basketball coach and what was his punishment? No visiting recruits????? Thats like forcing someone to quit smoking by taking their lighter away. There are ways around it. And it looks like Kelvin has found his book of matches in Meyer. With all this Gordon decommit talk, Eric better hope he lives up to the hype or the ORANGE KRUSH will boo him out of town.

Apparently, Indiana assistant coaches continue to shadow Eric Gordon and his father at every public event they have been to.

Now the local rag, the Indianapolis Star is getting into the picture and trying to help Kelvin Sampson lure Eric Gordon,
and to change Gordon's mind.
This is almost getting to the shameless phase.

IU has struck out time and time again with all the top instate recruits.
They are now betting the entire farm on Gordon and pulling out all the stops.
Look for this to get even uglier as Sampson gets more desperate.
