How long will it take for us to get a good 2-3 Zone Offense going? As we all saw in the past couple games, we can't really do much when the D is playing a 2-3 zone, especially when our shot isn't falling.

I thought the way Sam Singh was poppin that 10-14 footer in the lane a few games ago, we had found something that will work against the 2-3, but we sure didn't try it against Creighton. We did nothing to get DC any shot attempts either, he had 1, and I'm pretty sure that was on the 1st or 2nd possession of the game.DUBL R 1

I would like to see BU play a line-up that includes both SS and DC. Both of our big guys have a pretty decent touch from 12 -15 feet. Put one guy at the high post (SS) and the other on the block down low. Feed Sam at the high post. one option is to look low to DC, ...another option is to look for the guards on the wings...third option is shoot the ball. Have the two big guys rotate from high to low post and get them the ball. (I like SS at the high post because I think he is a better passer.) It seems like good things happen when we get the ball inside rather than run our weave for 30 seconds and then throw up a prayer. Exactly...Get AT a couple minutes here and there...nothing big unless he starts having a good night...just a few minutes each half will pay big dividends down the road IMO."Losers find an excuse...winners find a way" - Joe Stowell

If our bigs do not show up we will always have a tough game because right now our guards cannot hit the outside shot consistently unless they are wide open and the other team is denying our slashers their lane by not having to really play that tough on our bigs. I say we should play AT with TW, TB, CR and EM and press the other team a bit and see what happens. We play best when we can dictate the game and against CU they were the ones that dictated the tempo."Educate and inform the whole mass of the people...they are the only sure reliance for the preservation of our liberty."

You sound as if you would make a good coach. This would be a great strategy EXCEPT I question DC's hands, footwork, and strength in the low post. I also do not know much about AT and his ability to catch the ball in the low post and either go strong or dish out. I think this is Les' dilemna as he knows he does not have the personnel to make this strategy work. But, THIS IS THE WAY TO BEAT THE ZONE.
